Applebee's fired Chelsea Welch when a pastor of a church scratched out an automatic 18% tip because there over 8 people in her party and wrote, "I give God 10%, why do you get 18?" on the receipt. Ms. Welch posted a picture of the insult on Yahoo and the photo went viral. Now, Applebee's has fired Ms. Welch for "embarrassing" the ungrateful pastor!

The Illinois Governor failed to pay out promised raises. I have downsized twice in last four years as a single mother, retired veteran, and I am a committed citizen to the betterment of all middle class. The state employees are being BULLIED by the Illinois politicians by trying to take from the employees who paid into their own pension. Our employer is making bad investments and are trying to tarnish the employees work ethic by claiming we, the workers, are the reason for the state debt. We, pay taxes, pay pension fees, pay union dues, we want the Governor to honor his signature on our contract suspended.

Scott Walker's administration cannot account for some where around $40 million in 'economic development' loans. Where is the the personal responsibilty for the governor on this issue? Any other public official would be nearly crucified, and hopefully, prosecuted for this action The Wisconsin media is giving Walker a pass on this, as is the DA who has jurisdiction over this.

We have not raised the minimum wage in Hawaii in 7 years. While our cost of living is higher than almost any other state, our minimum wage is behind 19 other states. Our people have a hard time getting by and most work two jobs. Raising the floor will help a lot of families do a little better.

I work in the film industry as many of my fellow Minnesotans do...I have to leave my home in Minnesota to work because, there is not much work in the film industry in Minnesota. I would prefer to stay in Minnesota and I know many others who feel the same way. The film incentive can bring much needed income to Minnesota if run properly.

There exists among our elected officials a logical fallacy that when you cut taxes for businesses there is a "Trickle Down" effect. Eliminating the State Sales Tax for businesses will place an undue extra burden on the citizens (that is living breathing humans-not corporations) of the state of Florida. Every time the state cuts taxes for businesses, I pay more in user taxes such as utility fees and surcharges. Furthermore, Public Safety, Education, and Assistance are made to 'bite the bullet' to cover the revenues lost by cutting taxes. Finally, It is a logical fallacy that cutting taxes results in job creation. It wasn't true for Reagan, Bush (all 3 of them), Crist, or Scott and it isn't true now.

Health Care Issues I'm A CNA because of very low wages I can't afford Insurance so unfortunately I 've experience being sick a few times This past year which I Recieved several different medical bills from going to the Hospital...... Jobs my daughter been looking for a Job for a year she wants to work terribly bad she just recently Recieved her last unemployment check so now she has no income at all what is she to do....Where are the jobs Land Of The Free And Home Of The Brave...

Please do not tax clothes or food. This would really hurt the middle and lower classes and the state will lose money as we attract a lot of people from other states, etc. to shop here. They buy much more than clothes when they are here too.

The California office workforce is one that is an 'AT WILL' entity, which gives support, as it were, to the derogation and abuse of the office worker by those in 'Upper Management'. I, myself, have come under unfair actions more than once and have been either terminated from my job unfairly or otherwise forced out. I have also seen various and suppressive actions used by those in Upper Management against their workers due to ego concerns, and believe that unfair targeting, termination, and suppression of an individual's rights should be henceforth stopped in the office workplace altogether.

Abolish the "Disabled Veterans' Tax"

Do not replace the revenue obtained from the state income tax by higher sales taxes! This only hurts low income families and those below the poverty line. If you don't believe this ask any low income family in Tennessee about their grocery bills.
