The Bremerton Marina is a wonderful public dock and salt water access area on the City of Bremerton water front. The recent downturn in the national economy in conjunction with continued mismanagement of the marina, by both the Port of Bremerton Commissioners and upper level facility management has created a situation where the marina is continually short of revenue. As a result, of this shortfall, the only solution the Port of Bremeton's Commissioners are proposing ss that they should be allowed to sell and therefore privatize what is and should remain a publicly owned facility and highly valuable piece of water front infrastructure.

Taxes for 114 million middle class families will be going up $1600 on January 1st. Congress must act now to pass a clean bill that will extend the middle class tax cuts. This tax cut will create 1.6 million jobs!

All home owners and renter would be affected by this change.

Last year a great many Republicans signed Grover Norquist's pledge not to raise taxes. Their action prevented most legislation of consequence from being accomplished for an entire year. We need a wise Congress with no political entanglements keeping them from doing the important work of the nation.

Our next greatest challenge is on the horizon. Our looming debt should be first and for most. America has spoken and we demand accountability and responsibility. No matter how we got here, now is the time to pay America back, and forward. No longer can we afford to protect Americas wealthy from their patriotic responsibilities.

Reform of the Federal tax system.

There is a big debate on who will get a tax break and who will loose their deductions and who will get an increase in tax. You & me will only loose. No tax break, less deductions and bigger taxes. The fed needs a lot of pressure to pass this because their cronnies won't like it. They want their deals in the tax code. We can win with the Fair Tax.

Remember 1996 when things were going good and we had a balanced budget and paying down the national debt for the first time in many, many years? Let's go back to those days. This will bring some hardship on many people, but I think Americans are strong will back this if it will get our country on the right track again. It will improve everyone's lives in the long run.

Stand strong President Obama. We got your back. Let the Bush era tax cuts for the rich expire.

My group of friends that recently graduated from college last year are currently unemployed. This results in them unable to pay off their student loans. It is required for students to start paying back their loans six months after graduation. If a student cannot pay back their loan it hurts their credit score. A bad credit score then can have a negative effect on finding a job in this already horrible economy. Six months is not enough time with the economic situation. Students should be given a grace period of 24 months to get on their feet.

With a super-majority of Democrats in Sacramento, the legislature and governor can either fix the revenue side of the state budget now, or it will never happen in our life time.
