Wisconsin lake property taxes have been increasing consistently, to the point that the majority of lake property owners are wealthy owners from big cities with higher salaries, using their WI lake house as a second property. Keep hard-working middle-class Wisconsinites in their lake homes, don't sell out our state for others to enjoy and keep nothing for ourselves.

Our current Tax Code has thousands of pages and millions of words; it is incomprehensible, even by the experts and the IRS themselves. It is unfair, obscure, and subject to endless manipulation for purely political reasons. This is clearly a non-partisan issue negatively impacting all Americans. We must replace it with a tax system that is simple, honest, transparent, and fair.

We want churches who preach political messages to have to pay taxes. (Any churches - not just Catholics). They should NOT be tax exempt. We also want to suspend any and all tax monies directed to Catholic Charities when they only want to cause trouble and sue our government over something that was supposedly settled. WE THE PEOPLE are tired of it. If the Catholic Church insists on doing this, we don't need to send them money! EVER!

Romney's proposed budget cuts total spending 20% of GDP by 2016, including Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), compensation and pensions for low-income and disabled Vets, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the poor aged and disabled. Also cuts non-defense discretionary spending $166B by 2016 including: aid to Public Education, Vets healthcare, Law enforcement, National parks, Environmental protection, and biomedical and scientific research. The Government has taken money from people for Federal Taxes forever, however, they have never produced a written law. There is NO LAW, no allocation of the funds they collect, and we are penalized for not paying. It's time to stop the madness.

Whenever people are replaced by any kind of machine then that machine should be taxed at the same level as the workers that machine replaced. This would keep Social Security, Mediaid, Medicare and the fiscal house in balance.

My petition is for the state governor to set up a state owned bank like North Dakota. With such a bank the bonds used to finance state interstructure improvements and state parks and such can be financed by the state owned bank at the 1-2% rate if interest the big banks pay. This would save the taxpayers the difference between the 5-6% rate of interest they now pay the big mega banks to finance these bonds.

This petition pertains to the sections of the Glass-Steagall Act which create a clear and clean demarcation between FDIC insured deposits, which all American should have for any legal financial purpose, and other types of financial activity that have, and will continue to cause Americans to question and, at times, fear and loathe their banks. I termed it stainless because if these sections are enacted, they will allow Americans to gain confidence in their banks, and faith in the economic recovery. (The first thing democrats should do is create multi-language campaigns supporting, and educating taxpayers about these sections, and relating them to everyday folks who want to live out their lives without being scared into reacting about the "deficit.") It could be more cost-effective, creative and fun to post marketing competitions at high school and college levels.
