• Tyranny or Town Hall? Demand Mark Amodei hold a town hall for constituents.
While republicans may be receiving "marching orders" to avoid town halls, it is up to us, the people, to demand them and to ensure members of congress who support the current administration answer to their actions and the impact it will have on individuals and community alike.

  • Do Not Touch Social Security
Privatizing Social Security will kill the guaranteed returns and only benefits corporations. Slashing staffing without planning ensures a debacle of epic proportions, risking the reliability of monthly checks most recipients rely upon. If you touch SS, you will literally kill some Americans and throw undue hardship on others.  You also will owe each of us what we have paid in for the program, plus accrued interest—large sums of money that you would have to pay out. Or you will have a class action suit with tens of millions of people on our side.

  • Mayor Restaino: Release Funds to Schools, Hospital, Museum, NFTA
We must shine a light on these bullying and strong-arm tactics and demand change. Our hospital, schools, transit and local attractions should be considered priorities by the Restaino administration. The fact that employees from these entities are afraid of retribution if they speak to the press, speaks volumes as to how Mayor Restaino conducts business.  WHY withhold funds from our schools in a time of economic crisis? WHY withhold funds from the only hospital located in our city? WHY withhold funds from the Underground Railroad Museum, which attracts thousands of tourists every year? The train station is already operating at a $130,000 annual deficit because the city has failed to properly utilize event space adjacent to the museum. WHY withhold funds from the NFTA when many of us rely on public transportation to get from home to work and back? Mayor Restaino's actions only make sense when viewed through the eyes of a greedy miser.

  • Town Halls in Missouri
Missouri is a reliably red state. Nearly all of our leaders in Congress are Republicans so why do they need to do town halls if they know they'll have your vote no matter what? America is under attack. This is not a left vs right or liberal vs conservative. This is farmers, doctors, nurses,  police officers, teachers, retail workers, veterans,  disabled citizens, every Missouri resident vs those gutting our institutions with no concern. This is corrupt. This is fascistic. This is the rich stealing from right under our noses so we need to have town halls to tell Josh Hawley, Eric Schmitt, and our Representatives in Congress how we feel about what they're allowing to happen. How they're standing aside and giving trillions of dollars in tax cuts that WE, the normal people,  will get to pay for. They do what's in their political interests and not their constituents because they know they have your no matter what. Sign this petition. Make them talk to us. Make them answer for what they are and are not doing. They work for Missouri,  not Musk.

  • Tell Trump: Fund Our Forests and Protect Our Planet
Our parks are critical in the fight against the ongoing climate crisis. Without the necessary funding to maintain and expand public lands, we jeopardize our ability to fight the climate crisis through economic stewardship and to protect our natural resources for future generations.     National parks and forests are home to countless species of plants and animals, many of which are endangered. Insufficient funding leaves them vulnerable to invasive species, habitat destruction, and climate change impacts. The park rangers that protect these parks are essential not only for maintaining park landscapes but also for ensuring public safety and education. Without proper staffing,  fewer rangers are available to educate visitors about conservation and safety, and there are fewer resources to protect our lands from damage and misuse.    These are funding cuts that will impact communities across the country. National parks and forests are an important part of the local economy, supporting tourism, jobs, and small businesses. Substantial cuts to these programs will harm communities that depend on parks for income and tourism. National parks are also one of the few spaces left that are usually free or inexpensive and open to the public.    We must reverse course: Our parks and forests, and all the rangers who keep them safe and taken care of, need us now more than ever. Sign the petition to demand that Congress push back against these cuts and ensure that park rangers have the resources they need to protect our natural heritage and fight climate change.

  • Tell President Trump and Elon Musk: HANDS OFF OUR SOCIAL SECURITY
Trump is giving Elon Musk the power to steal benefits that people earned. He's using the standard MAGA Republican playbook: Make an issue out of a non-issue, cause chaos, and then get rid of it and claim the win.  In this case,  he makes up stories about "abuse and waste" and then steals your benefits to claim that he is simply cutting waste. Just last week, Musk talked to reporters in the Oval Office to try to convince the public that the Social Security system is full of fraud, especially when he said, “just cursory examination of Social Security and we’ve got people in there that are 150 years old.” Now we're just making things up.  Social Security benefits are given to workers who have put in decades of their lives into their work and those people have earned the right to access the promise of Social Security afforded to all citizens during their elder years.  The only reason that Elon Musk has access to the Treasury’s payments system is because Donald Trump has given him the ability to do whatever he wants. Thus, Elon had access to the Social Security numbers of every federal worker and Social Security beneficiary. He also had access to our bank account numbers, and other sensitive, private information. Enough is enough.

  • Remove “Have you been convicted of a felony “ question from applications
We as Americans are just trying to live our lives to the best potential that we’re able to do. If our president can walk around a free man and leader of the free world, then we should be able to get a job at McDonald’s or Walmart even though we may have one or two felonies. Our president has been convicted of 34. The American people would just like the playing field evened out a bit, that’s all.

  • Protect America's Federal Workers from Mass Firings
These mass layoffs hurt all of us. When essential American workers are fired, everybody suffers. From compromised food safety inspections to delayed veterans’ benefits to disrupted Social Security services, politically motivated purges of federal workers directly harm American families. While educators, healthcare workers, and researchers are losing their jobs, billionaires like Elon Musk are getting richer off taxpayer handouts. That’s why we are calling on Congress to: -Pass immediate legislation protecting federal workers from politically motivated firings -Block any attempts to reclassify civil service positions to remove employment protections -Maintain the merit-based civil service system that prevents political interference -Investigate and stop any coordinated efforts to dismantle federal agencies through mass terminations -Ensure stable, long-term funding and staffing for essential government services Every American relies on dedicated federal employees. Whether it's the FDA inspector ensuring our medicines are safe or the Social Security Administrator helping our seniors, public servants work for all of us, not for any political agenda. The threat to our federal workforce is immediate and real. We cannot wait to act. When political appointees can fire career civil servants at will, we lose the expertise, institutional knowledge, and nonpartisan service that our government depends on to function. Sign this petition to tell Congress: Protect our federal workers from political retaliation – our democracy depends on it.

  • Join us to tell Congress: No more tax dollars to Elon Musk!
It’s outrageous that Trump has given Elon Musk, an unelected, unvetted, unconfirmed billionaire, an unprecedented and unconstitutional amount of power. Musk is using it to gut the federal government as we know it. It looks like sending USAID, the U.S. government’s lead distributor of lifesaving humanitarian aid and development assistance across the globe, “into the woodchipper” (his words). Millions of lives are at immediate risk. One USAID worker estimated that as a result of Musk’s handiwork, “At a minimum, 300 babies that wouldn’t have had HIV, now do.” The kicker? Musk is working to "reduce spending" while making money hand over fist from the same Pentagon contracts that pay his own companies billions each year. Musk’s net worth has increased by $65 BILLION since Election Day — growth that’s based on an assumption he will keep those government dollars coming, and in many cases with less regulation, moving forward. It’s corruption, plain and simple, and we refuse to sit idly by and allow it to continue. The Pentagon is accountable to Congress and the public: That’s US. So let's send lawmakers a message tens of thousands of people strong, urging them to block Elon from gaining another cent of our taxpayer money, and even more power, as fast as they can NOW.
