I have listed the four things I believe are needed to be handled first and could make a great difference in our lives. The City of Los Angeles recently honored former President Barack Obama by renaming a stretch of the 134 Freeway near Downtown L.A. in his honor. We request the New York City Mayor and City Council do the same by renaming a block of Fifth Avenue after the former president whose many accomplishments include: saving our nation from the Great Recession; serving two completely scandal-free terms in office; and taking out Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind September 11th, which killed over 3,000 New Yorkers.

The fund has already raised $1.2 Million and is poised to continue growing rapidly. GoFundMe allows a maximum goal of only $1 Billion, $4 Billion short of the supposed cost of construction. Aside from that fact, any amount raised by this fundraiser CANNOT be used for its intended purpose without a vote by Congress. Thus, these funds will NEVER be used for their intended purpose. The law matters. We know it doesn't matter to Donald Trump. Does it matter to Rob Solomon? GoFundMe has no feasible means of ensuring that these funds will be allocated appropriately, though any allocation would be inappropriate since the entire purpose of the fund is ILLEGITIMATE. How do we know these funds won't end up lining the pockets of Grifter in Chief? We don't. In fact, we can reasonably expect that that is EXACTLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN. In addition to shuttering the charity, her office has pursued a lawsuit that could bar President Trump and his three oldest children from the boards of other New York charities, as well as force the payment of millions in restitution and penalties. Congress has the power under Section 5 of the 14th Amendment and Section 2 of the 15th Amendment to enforce the fundamental right of every citizen to an equal vote. The House of Representatives has the power and moral authority to take the lead in protecting the right of Americans to an equal vote in the selection of the President. The House of Representatives should establish a Select Committee to take the following actions, among others: • Receive testimony from the public and from experts about the impact and distortions of the current Elector system; • Establish standards for the conduct of Presidential elections consistent with the 14th and 15th Amendments; • Endorse remedial steps to solve the problem, including the efforts of the National Popular Vote Project. • Propose and enact enabling legislation to empower federal official, state officials, or private citizens to challenge the impact of the current Electoral system • Report to Congress and the people no later than January 2020 with a plan and recommendations for change.

I am a senior citizen & I need my social security, I need my COLA raises and the one I will get in 2019 is the first in the last seven years! My last one was $8 and the one before that, was, I think, $3.00! and they were years apart! It's my $$ & my employer's, not Congresses'!!

Joe Manchin, the pro-coal Democratic senator from West Virginia, is in line to be the ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee next year, taking the place of Maria Cantwell who is leaving the role to head a different committee. Although one of the most public examples of his support of fossil fuels was his campaign ad where he shot a cap-and-trade bill with a rifle, his voting record demonstrates that the ad wasn't just a bunch of campaign hype. In theory, the Social Security Trust Fund has a surplus of $2.8 Trillion which is designed to help pay for the retirement of baby boomers. Unfortunately, over the last thirty years, Congress has borrowed from that Social Security Trust Fund and there is no plan in place to repay it. The Wisconsin Republican-held legislature passed a law limiting the incoming Governor and Attorney Generals powers in an effort to reverse their devastating midterm loss. I cannot stand by and watch America descend into legislation without representation. The GOP believes the voters of Wisconsin do not care. The Wisconsin Republicans are attempting to sabotage the powers of the elected Democratic governor. There is a new governor in the state and we would like him to know that we support Commissioner Scheff. He has been a champion for our individuals with ID/D and we would like to see him remain the DDS Commissioner.
