Time to end the gravy train of elected officials in Washington. "Career politicians" only care about their careers; are totally out of touch with their constituents. It's time they join mainstream America in our day to day worries about employment, social security and health care. Change the law so we will finally have politicians who are "in it" to serve, not be served!!!

Today, in a neighboring community, a man was arrested for threatening the life of the President. All this vitriolic rhetoric has a price. Besides dividing the country and stopping all progress, the rhetoric inflames the unbalanced and threatens the security of each of us.

Congress wants to cut costs. They can do this easily by cutting the number of members in congressin half.That will reduce the cost of the house by half and cut the staffs that work for congress

In assisting seniors preparing their taxes, it affects them because they are already struggling; finding extra money to pay taxes affects their entire way of living. It is literally taking food out of their mouths and each year that it lingers by the next tax year it becomes compounded & their is absolutely no way out. It is so unfair that you have worked & been able to retire with a few dollars & the government thanks you by taking what little you have left. It's "unfair" that seniors with little income are scared into paying taxes with money they don't have. Paying taxes for seniors with minimum income pushes them over the edge & can be another reason for stress which lead to early death. I see it ever year & each year I see the tears & stress when they are told they owe taxes.

Each State in our Union currently sets their own voting policies and procedures and most of them attempt to make access to the polls easier for voters. Since election day is always on a Tuesday, the policy of early voting attempted to aid those unable to get to the polls during normal working hours. Recently, there have been efforts to curtail access to the polls, to make it harder and harder to cast a vote.. This petition would help every voter who works for a living.

We, the People of Earth, desire a world without war, hunger, and slavery; with adequate shelter, clean air, and drinking water for everyone! These are basic human rights, along with open access to the Internet that we demand of ourselves and our governments!

I believe all candidates for elected office should be required to disclose five years of their federal tax forms. This seems like a simple requirement, as tax filings tell us what the candidate values. I feel anyone who is not willing to follow such a rule is rightfully suspicious and should not be considered for office.

County Executive Chris Abele is attempting to replace pro-veteran Trustees on the Milwaukee War memorial Board of Trustees. We are concerned that he is seeking to stack the board with Trustees who favor a Milwaukee Art Museum takeover of the War Memorial Center. The Milwaukee County Board has a chance to prevent this takeover. We are calling on Supervisors to stand for veterans and prevent County Executive Abele from diluting veteran representation at the War Memorial.

I think we need to do away with the Department and make the CIA and FBI go back to doing their job instead of just setting around and collecting a check off the public, anybody else would,ve been fired or chewed out not have a whole new Government body created to do their job.

Corruption find fertile soil in unaccountable elected officials. Those public officials develop a sense of entitlement and righfull ownership of their seat with a passing right as an inheritance to their family or friends.

'We the People' must have the opportunity to vote, in order to provide proper direction, and a thoughtful, fair review, to our elected officials on election day. Sign this petition to request the US Congress establish a federal holiday on election day and name it 'We the People Day', with our elections being the only business underway on that day.

Increasing the annual amount of money a retiree can make or eliminating the restriction all together. With the changes of medicare/medicaid receiving less benefits and deductions are more, plus the way the economy is going,retirees should at least have the opportunity to make more money.
