I'd like to send a petition to the White House, Senate and House of Representatives to declare that it is time to reform the way they are paid and how they raise capital for campaigning. Not tomorrow, not after a committee is called to order, or a study is done on the idea. The time is now, they can either hear our plea or we will elect and place people in power who are not on the payroll of a corporation or using private wealth for an unfair advantage. I grow tired of the current debate in the halls of government as I can't tell the true politicians from those who are there to make money at the expense of their fellow citizens. We on this petition, as but one voice of its many but important none the less, request that the government of the United States of America make a high priority of changing the way elected officials are paid and how they raise capital for their campaigns. This is our request, will they honor it? Make your voice heard and sign this petition to let the nation know how many of its citizens are tired of a too easily corruptible government being in place. Removal of the electoral college system of presidential selection. People should sign this petition if they want to reduce the size of government, by providing direct election by registered voters, thus eliminating the middle men in the voting process.

It is not illegal for members of congress to to make stock trades based on non-public information they receive when working on legislation.

Senators & Congressmen spend much of their lives in office, allowing them to be bought and sold by big money and special interests groups. Like the President, Congress should be subject to term limits to limit the possibility of corruption.

As the list of animal-derived ingredients in foods and other products grows (gelatin, glycerin, some "natural flavors", etc.), vegans and vegetarians have an increasingly difficult time shopping and eating out at restaurants. Mandatory labeling on foods (and shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) and menus would get rid of the guesswork for this growing demographic, presumably increasing their options and promoting commerce.

The “Occupy” demonstrations are a rapidly growing movement with the shared goal of urging people to peacefully assemble and occupy public space in order to create a shared dialogue by which to address the problems and generate solutions for and economically distressed world. We (occupy movement) would greatly appreciate and benefit from a petition of support from the public

Occupy Vancouver is doing meaningful work for democracy and needs to be supported. Many people can't make it down there but need somewhere to express their support.

We are standing together as one to bring democracy back and not a dictatorship!!!

The occupy movement is across the globe and gaining momentum. Now that the politicians can see that it's real, it's time for them to start making changes. The main problem is corruption built in the system.

We're tired of money and special interests buying our elections, officials, and legislation that leaves out the interests of we the people. We're tired of the archaic electoral college. We need a strong bill of voter rights to affirm:

NESARA (National Economic Security and Reformation Act) is a bill, already passed into law in the U.S. government, but kept under gag order for many years by some members of the 1%. Amend our Constitution to deny person hood to corporations. Corporations are not born and do not die. They are government created entities to sell products and services and should be controlled by government not the other way around.
