I needed to find my Medical Records to trace the Health History of when I was a child, and the affects of my mothers alcoholism and surgeries I had as a child, however after 7-10 years the record are destroyed. My child needs to trace her medical record now as she is 20 to understand what treatments were use and if this is something that was done as I was a child. but they have been destroyed.

In spite of near universal agreement that trans-fats and high-fructose corn syrup are unhealthy additives to food, Kraft Foods continues to produce food products containing these ingredients. Although many of us are aware of the unhealthy aspects of trans-fats and high-fructose corn syrup and avoid foods that contain them, a large number of consumers, unfortunately, are less savvy about nutrition and tend to assume that the food they buy, especially from brand name companies, is healthy. Consequently, it should be the responsibility of all food producing companies to provide the healthiest foods possible so that all food consumers will benefit.

I am a Veit Nam Marine Corps Veteran who served in Nam from 1968-1969. I attracted muscular dystrophy by being exposed to Agent Orange, and I am having trouble filing for Service Connected Disability Compensation. Muscular Dystrophy does not run in my family. Therefore; I am petitioning the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences, President Barack Obama and the entire U.S. House and Senate to approve, and add muscular dystrophy, as well as, other muscle diseases be included to Agent Orange Registry. Now, Progressive Muscle Atrophy and Multiple Sclerosis are recognized Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences and the Department of Veterans' Affairs but not Muscular Dystrophy.. There has been no documented proof by any of these groups to prove or disapprove that exposure to Agent Orange causes any muscle diseases, especially muscular dystrophy. . I have been going back and forth with the Department of Veteran's Affairs for nearly 43 years. That was when I was in my early 20's, now I am in my middle 60's. As of today nothing has been done. My appeal is still at the regional office in Detroit, Michigan.

In April, my daughter was diagnosed as having Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). Now that she is in kindergarten, she is having difficulties processing the information that is being taught. SPD is not recognized as a disability, and therefore she does not qualify for therapy because insurance companies won't cover it. She also doesn't qualify for an Education Plan in school, which would allow her to succeed, having the necessary accommodations to help her learn.
