• REQUIRE THAT ALL SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER
If an inmate is caught sexually assaulting, sexually battering, assaulting with intent to commit rape and they are arrested in prison, called an "In House Arrest" most of these cases are heard by the Prison Board/an Administration Hearing and a disciplinary action is handed out to the offender. The offense may be put on their arrest record, however, upon Parole or Probation they are not required to register as a sex offender. Them not registering is a public safety issue that needs to be changed for the safety of our children, the safety of us all.

  • Oakland City Council: 697 Police Officers by 2015 is Not Enough!
Oakland leadership needs to restore safety to our city now, not later. We are being held hostage by thugs in Oakland while the leadership turns a blind eye.

  • President Obama: Legalize it
In the past few years, I have sat on the sidelines and watched the battles between the federal and local governments over the issuion of the legalization of Majiuana. This plant when used correctly, can treat and prevent all kinds of illnesses, and it is time to make any use of it, legal.

  • Statute of Limitations
The statutes of limitations for sexual abuse in many states are standing in the way of justice. They limit the amount of time victims have to press charges. In many cases the victims are not capable of coming forward until adulthood, many being very young and frightened. They should be able to press charges when they are ready, not told "Sorry, times up." The whole program for convicting sex offenders in the USA is terribly flawed. The system is not set up for individual cases, and it very much should be!

  • People that has paid their debt to society and trying to get employment
There are people out on parole trying to be rehabilitated and wants or need Jobs but some employers won't give them a break by hiring them even if they admit they had did a crime before sometimes if they are given a break it helps them become better citizens and society should be proud of the process they have made for every job given it could prevent the ones that want to give back to the community from returning to crime especially if they were not violent crimes

  • STOP THE WAR ON DRUGS!
If we stopped the war on ALL drugs and put the delivery system into the hands of competent people, we'd create many jobs, eliminate killings (not only innocents but dealers & suppliers) + save the prison system for terrorists, murderers, rapists & pedophiles. We'd also have cells for white-collar criminals who steal billions every day. Right now, the SCE doesn't have employees to stop thieves who prey on rich & hard-working people alike. They made a mockery of imprisoning Bernie Madoff while many are left to continue stealing. The War on Drugs will NEVER be won! The United States needs to join the rest of the industrialized nations who have already legalized ALL drugs.

  • Help Save The Oak Ridge 3 - Three Pacifists That The U.S. Government Has Made Look Like Violent T...
In just ten months, the United States managed to transform an 82 year-old Catholic nun and two pacifists from non-violent anti-nuclear peace protestors accused of misdemeanor trespassing into federal felons convicted of violent crimes of terrorism. Now in jail awaiting sentencing for their acts at an Oak Ridge, TN nuclear weapons production facility, their story should chill every person concerned about dissent in the US.

  • Arkansas Citizens: Support Fair Criminal Sentences
I've seen the injustices of mandatory long-term prison sentences in federal court. We can put a bi-partisan end to this. S. 619 is a bill introduced by Senators Rand Paul and Patrick Leahy. The bill would create a new safety valve for federal mandatory minimum sentences that, if enacted, would give judges the authority to sentence offenders below the minimum under certain circumstances. The safety valve the would be created by S. 619 is necessary because mandatory minimum sentences have created unsustainable prison spending and an explosion in the federal prison population. Allowing judges to use their discretion to sentence below minimums where appropriate means that prison beds and justice resources are saved for those who pose the biggest danger to the public. Tell Sen. Boozeman and Pryor to co-sponsor S. 619.
