• End Abuse by Pregnant Women to Their Unborn
We need a law that prevents pregnant women doing harm to their unborn children by their acts of smoking tobacco, smoking marijuana, drinking alcohol and conuming other types of drugs. I live in a small town in Illinois where I constantly see pregnant women smoking and drinking and I have tried to educate many of the harmful effects of the newborn but found that with any addiction, women find it difficult to quit. I would like to see women who use drugs while pregnant forced to become educated through rehab or jail if the pregnant women aren't willing to take the steps to stop. I would also like to see the child be removed at birth and brought to a safer environment. Not enough is being done to prevent this form of child abuse.

Senator Lieu would make it a mandatory 3 year prison sentence for Sex offenders who tamper with their monitoring equipment. This will not only help with effective monitoring but also dissuades them from committing repeat offenses. Please join me in signing this petition to enact SB57.

  • Prosecute Bush/neocons for war fraud and murderous crimes.
Upwards of a million humans were killed, maimed and poisoned by a phony Iraq War. The war was unfunded and has contributed to America's financial collapse and widespread misery among the citizens these criminals pledged to protect.

  • Legal System Fails Man Twice. Join the Fight for Justice.
Did you see the 60 Minutes episode. If you did sign this petition now. If you didn't, Louis Taylor, was railroaded for a crime he did not commit and now over 40 years later he was released only after 60 minutes exposed the injustice. The continuing injustice is that the district attorney threatened to drag him through court again all the way to the supreme court unless he pled no contest and promised not to sue for restitution. That is not justice but a Second injustice imposed on this man by a system that claims to uphold justice. This is sickening and cannot be allowed to stand.

  • Georgia Needs Drug Policy Reform Now!
The war on drugs has done more harm than good. Drug addiction is a public health issue. People who are current and former drug users should not be punished, they should have opportunities to recover and succeed.

Our society is flooded with stories of just barely 18 year olds being charged and their lives being destroyed due to relationships that our society accepted up until the moment they turned 18. Children that we encourage to be a part of the community that is public high school are being prosecuted for the relationships they develop and we as a society encourage. April 18th, 2013 yet another victim of this oversight is due in court. http://www.jsonline.com/news/crime/tale-of-teenage-love-also-a-crime-story-782jcpi-133787908.html The stand is being taken. The truth, as is so often the case, won't be found easily. It almost unavoidably lies among a thousand shades of grey in a case of great complexity and magnitude. By oversimplifying it and/or turning into an entertainment form, the media and public fail to honor the accused's right to due process Justice for George Zimmerman .

  • Please investigate the city of Glendora, CA the same way the city of Bell, CA was investigated.
I am a 71 year old disabled senior woman who was illegally evicted 10/2010 from my apt at 1000 S. Glendora Ave, Glendora, CA. I became homeless and lived in tents in campgrounds in the mountains for over two years. I lost my city rental subsidy for three years while I fought the illegal eviction and finally won in the appeals court 4/23/12 The 3 judges ruled my apt and city rental subsidy be reinstated. On 11/18/12 the city of Glendora gave me a Federal Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) subsidy with a notice it will end 6/30/13 which means I will again be homeless and have to move back to the campgrounds and live in tents. I am not alone, the city is ending the TBRA rental subsidies for 63 households 6/30/13 and many of them will be homeless. I am asking for an investigation of the city council, Affordable Housing Agency for misappropriation of city, state and federal money (funds) as far back as 2004. Please sign my petition asking the President and Governor to order a thorough investigation of the City of Glendora for misappropriation of city, state and federal money?
