In 2009 and 2010, Gladys Carrion authoritzed two juvenile maximum security prisons,Brookwood and Goshen, to bring a 15 year old and an older prostitute to these prisons to perform sexual services for convicted youthful criminals, including three convicted murders. No one was disciplined for these state worker crimes.

The 911 commission needs to urge the justice department to re-investigate the 911 attacks and let everyone who has spoken out against the report be fairly heard.

I have not been personally affected other than viewing the horrific results of the killing by mentally unbalanced individuals at Virginia Tech, Congresswoman Gabby Giffrds, now this in Colorsdo. What does it take to get the congress to stand up to the NRA

More and more communities are being affected by the psychological fallout from mass shootings. We need to minimize the chance for deranged people to kill as many people as possible during such incidents while still protecting the 2nd amendment.

Our country recently witnessed another gun-related tragedy in Aurora, CO. We cannot allow one more innocent life to be taken. We are calling on our elected leaders to end this senseless violence by enacting legislation that will limit the number and types of weapons that individuals can own.

In December, 2011, San Francisco sheriff-elect Ross Mirkarimi was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife. Domestic violence charges were filed five days after Mirkarimi was sworn to office in January, 2012. In March, the sheriff pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of false imprisonment and was sentenced by the city to three years probation, one year of domestic violence classes, parenting classes, 100 hours of community service and fines. One week later the sheriff was suspended without pay by Mayor Ed Lee who then called on the San Francisco Ethics Commission to investigate the sheriff for official misconduct. An Ethics Commission report will be presented to the San Francisco board of supervisors for a final vote to determine whether or not the sheriff will be reinstated to office.

I feel that our country has caused such a terrible problem by these dangerous guns that GOD has been displeased with the United States. I want to support the Mayor of New York in his effort to ban dangerous guns.

Mass murderers want to see themselves on TV. The media should refer to them only in the third person, with no pictures. Freedom of the press means the media has the right to not give these fiends what they want most.

It's about time this country embraces gun control laws. I'm sick and tired of seeing too many young people (usually minorities) dying senselessly in the streets victims of gun violence. I urge President Obama to do something more than paying his respects to the families affected by this latest tragedy.

My petition is to enforce more strict gun laws, background checks and criminal sentencing, for people who unlawfully kill others with guns. This has affected me because, my cousin, Alicia Newman, was shot and killed in the parking lot of a nite club. Shot, by a stray bullelt, while running to her car. Leaving behind, two little girls. It also affects my life,along with countless others who see and hear about these ujustified and senseless murders daily.
