My petition is about mothers who have babies and their babies are DRUG/ALCOHOL EXPOSED and the child is then taken into CPS custody and the mothers are released from hospital with out any punishment or worry. I feel that when a child is drug/alcohol exposed the mother and father (if present and tests positive) should be given jail time. These children have no fault for their mothers choices and are being abused while in their mothers womb, and these children Can have short or long term health problems including withdrawals and psychological issue. These mothers are consistent drug users with addictions that are harmful to the human body and are putting these babies in harm and they are walking free while the cps systems raise their childrens and at times they go from home to home and many parents are not willing to adopt children who are drug exposed due to the high amount of Care and attention these children need. I have adopted my 3 neices due to the fact that they were taken into cps custody for my sister using drugs while pregnant, thankfully I was able to take full responsibility for my neices but so many children are less fortunate and have to live an unhealthy life growing up in foster care and then going to group homes and most of these children have no where to go once they are 18 and forced to leave the group home and end up on the streets, I truely feel that something needs to be done asap and I know we cant force these selfish human beings to tie their tubes or use birth control but their should be mandatory punishment. Every child should be allowed to live a normal healthy life and not start off their life with drug or alcohol withdrawals. LETS GIVE ALL CHILDREN A HEALTHY CHANCE IN LIFE!!!

I strongly believe that the State of Nebraska needs to re-evaluate the foster care system because they are too quick in pulling children out of the home when they don't need to be taken away. Yet, there are numerous others that are left alone in very serious and dangerous conditions however the State of Nebraska lets those children stay in the home. However, for a dirty house you get your children taken away and when you maintain it for a long time they think of other hoops for you to jump through as if you did something like seriously abusing them when that's not the case.

Milton Hall was a mentally ill homeless man that was shot and killed by six police officers in Saginaw, Michigan on July 1, 2012. He was shot 46 times in broad daylight at a local shopping center in front of children. Turns out, he only had a 2 inch knife. I sent a letter to the editor of The Saginaw News. It was printed in the newspaper: This is what I wrote: It’s a shame that an obviously troubled mentally ill man, Mr. Hall, had to die because of his mental illness. I, too, feel that this shooting was not justified. It was definitely over kill. Come on, he was shot 46 times. The actual shooters are not men, they're cowards! They knew that Mr. Hall was mentally disturbed. He had probably run out of his meds with The Department of Mental Health cutting so many programs now-a-days. Besides, Mr. Hall was the least dangerous person out there that day. He had a 2 inch knife; and was 36 feet away from the officers. What did the officers have? There was no need to kill this man. That's what tasers, pepper sprays, hand cuffs, and other non lethal weapons are for; to subdue those like Mr. Hall, who disconnect from reality. Those cops used unnecessary deadly force--unjustifiably. We do not control mental illness by murder, that’s why police have non lethal weapons. What's the point of giving officers the option of having bullet proof/stab proof vests, tasers, dogs, batons, mase, and hand cuffs? In the poor neighborhoods, police are shooting and mistreating mentally ill people more and more often when it isn't warranted. Had Mr. Hall been a wealthy mentally ill person, I doubt if he would have been shot or even tasered. They would have simply talked with him and subdued him. Those police lives were not in danger; so, I see no justification for using deadly force. Just being combative is not justification to shoot someone. Police are supposed to be trained on how to deal with the mentally disturbed. Mr. Hall was over 25 feet from the officers; witnesses say 36 feet away. I feel that these police officers were not properly trained in nonviolent methods of interacting with the mentally ill. I feel a non-lethal response to the situation would have had better results. A person with a tiny 2 inch hand-held weapon, 30 feet away from officers, should have left no one dead. Bottom line, those police officers were not properly trained. The City failed to properly train those police officers regarding mental health issues. The City must educate police officers on how to handle the mentally ill. Training in deescalating or calming the distraught should be top priority when it comes to dealing with the mentally disturbed.

I am currently on state parole in Pennsylvania, I have applied for hundreds, if not over a thousand jobs. As soon as my background check comes back, or the subject is brought up during the interview, the position I'm applying for disappears. I, as well as other ex-felons, who have served their time and learned from their past deserve a fair shot at gainful employment.

Enough is enough. Our community will no longer tolerate police bullying, abuse and murder. We demand justice, dignity, and respect! Elder abuse is the CRIME OF THE 21ST CENTURY. A senior is abused every five seconds in the United States. We are elder abuse and senior financial exploitation victims. My wife is facing the rejection of her transplated liver due to her exposure to toxic mold. Our former landlord stop the delivery of her anti-rejection medication and refused to fix a leaky moldy sink.This was done by our former landlord in retaliation to our filing a complaint about the false advertising, imposter nurse, and criminal activity at the senior living facility. We have been fighting this slumlord for three years for ourselves and for our other 46 abused and financially exploited seniors. We are fighting for the rights of elders in memory of my 94-year old aunt, Catherine Reinertson, who died abused, financially exploited, and a broken women as a result of the criminal activites of our former senior living facility. This petition is to address that unwarranted dog shootings in Warren County, McMinnville, Tenn are not being investigated. These crimes were Class E Felonies and the sheriff refuses to investigate or make an arrest. It is a Sheriff's responsibility to uphold Tennessee state law and not recklessly abandon his oath of office. His behavior has jeopardized the safety of the citizens he is supposed to protect.

We have to protect our constitutional right to bear arms with a solution to the proliferation of mass murders, i.e., Virginia Tech, Sen. Giffords' incident in Arizona, and most recently in Colorado, to name a few. The constitution was written to defend against internal military coupe d'etat; we have converted that intent to where it permits anarchy by the individual. We must find the balanced solution.

Stop corruption make a new law that requires all law enforcement officers to take a mandatory drug test every month this will help stop corruption and save the tax payer millions of dollars...the America people need this now..!!!
