I want this to happen because guns are always going to be dangerous, so I want to keep them as safe as possible. I am doing this because On the Day ofFriday, December 14th, 2012, a crazed man for no reason whatsoever killed 20 Elementary students and a few teachers. Again, he did this for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON!

Evil exist in the world laws will not stop it

I am heartbroken by the violent loss of life in Connecticut. And like so many other people, I want to help the families and communities that are hurting directly and hurting most. But it's not enough to help out after the fact. We don't just need response; we need prevention.

Tragedies have occurred across America as the result of the ease of access to purchase guns and assault rifles. Innocent lives have been lost, families have been shattered, hearts have been broken throughout our country. Since the tragedy at Columbine rocked the nation, countless tragedies have followed with no action from lawmakers. To President Obama, who has run his last election and has no excuse for not doing the right thing, and to every U.S. Senator and Congressperson who lacks the courage to stand up to the NRA: It's not just the mass murders the occur with disturbing frequency. Americans are affected by an unprecedented amount of lethal gun violence. We want our safety with reasonable gun control.

I created this petition for President Obama to regulate guns very strictly now. NO MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN!!!!!

We must move from grief to action in the wake of the Newtown massacre. Let us make gun manufactures illegal in the United States (with a few well-controlled exceptions for "sporting" use or law enforcement). Give manufacturers grants to convert to useful products; begin levying heavy fines on those who do not make moves to comply within a year. In another action we will address the question of imports.

This morning I had to explain the senseless deaths of school children to my 10 year old son. This is the world we live in, but it's not the world I want for him. Firearms claim one life every 20 minutes in this country. Yet the purchase and ownership of a gun is less regulated than cars and pets. It is time to put politics aside, lobbyists in their place, and save lives. We need stricter gun controls.
