Please Fund and Support a 2015 White House Conference on AgingMore than 40 organizations have written the President and the White House to communicate their convictions that a 2015 White House Conference on Aging should be held. The value to the Nation of holding such a Conference has been well established through the positive initiatives stemming from previous Conferences. We are Americans advocating for Senior Citizens. Some of us participated in previous White House Conferences on Aging. As far as we have been able to determine, no indication has been offered by the White House that the President has given any priority to consideration to holding a 2015 White House Conference on Aging. A 2015 White House Conference on Aging would serve as a forum to discuss aging-related policy, to influence decision-makers at the state and federal levels, and to guide the public and private sectors in contributing to the well-being of older adults. If funded, it will cost the American tax payer $5-7 million. However, our group of Seniors is expanding by 10,000, daily, so the dollar amount is small by comparison. Since women are longer-lived, aging is a key women's issue, as well. In addition, many of our country’s legislative and economic decisions will of necessity be shaped by the policies The White House adopts to address the issues of importance to the Senior Citizen population, as well as to their families. Because Senior Citizens will be directly and personally impacted by the policies the White House adopts to deal with Senior Citizen issues, we believe our voices should be heard as those policies are being shaped. The White House Conferences on Aging, in past years, have been held for that precise purpose: to hear the concerns and solutions voiced by those most impacted. On behalf of the many, many millions of citizens who will be well over age 60 in 2015, we urge you to confirm before this year has ended that you intend to hold this Senior Citizen forum--a 2015 White House Conference on Aging.211 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Le Martínez

Reauthorize the Older Americans ActI am a volunteer serving on an advisory council for the Office for the Aging in Upstate New York, and I see the staff unable to meet the needs of our exponentially growing population of seniors, especially since the Sequestration. If the OAA is not reauthorized this year, the services that now have a large wait list, such as Meals on Wheels, At-Home Personal Care, Caregiver Assistance, and Transportation Aid, might go away entirely. Tell the President and your Congress Person and your Senators to get on board and not let the Older Americans Act die this year!31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by MARLYN DEWITT

Protect Pedestrians in AtlantaWalking or riding a bike to work is dangerous in Atlanta. There is no more dangerous area of pedestrian crossing than the corner of Monroe Dr NE and 10th Street where Beltline traffic is high and pedestrians are entering and exiting Piedmont Park. I walk or bike this route daily and everyday a driver runs the red light nearly hitting a pedestrian crossing the street well within the time of the crosswalk light. It's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed at this intersection. Today, 11/13/13, there were five police officers sitting at Park Tavern watching people set up stuff for Music Midtown while two cars ran the red light nearly killing six pedestrians. The officers did nothing. We, the pedestrians of Atlanta, demand for ticketing cameras be installed at the corner of 10th St and Monroe Drive NE with increase fines for running the red light to protect the pedestrians near Piedmont Park and the Beltline.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kent Aberle

President Obama: Stop chemical Harassment!!CHEMICAL HARASSMENT The Higher Authority and some of the Police officers in Minneapolis, MN, have found out that there are harassers spraying chemicals from their vehicles on the streets. The authorities have not gone in the buildings to stop the spraying of the chemicals. Now, is time to stop this chemical behavior because it is dangerous to all life. The research of a Neurologist, Dr. Raymond Sanders, wrote an article called, Recognizing Neurotoxicity, where he wrote about the chemicals affecting the body. Dr. Mirtha Nesheim is aware of these chemicals around her Clinic in Richfield, MN, She is sensitive to these chemicals. All doctors do not want to talk with the Police to get more information on this chemical harassment. These chemicals get into the Respiratory System to the Nervous System to cause excruciating pain, disability and deterioration of cells in the body. Then, it focuses on any Vital Organ to disable and cause death to its victims. What is worse is. that the creators of these chemicals have discovered the Pathway from the lungs to all parts of the body. The harassers can focus on any part of the body, thus giving them power to destroy all life. I urge everyone of you to sign this petition because this is toxic air and it is difficult to see and assess because these pains and disability looks normal to the eye and the toxic air can be deadly. I know because I feel the pain and so are my friends but they do not know what it is. Some of my Senior friends have died because of their failing Vital Organs plus my cats died even though the doctor said nothing is wrong with them. Please, sign this petition it is for all of us and the future generation plus the animals of this earth. All our health is very important for survival on this planet. Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors: Save the Isla Vista Medical Clinic and Save Some Space...Isla Vista has a greater population density than Chicago, Philadelphia, or Miami yet has no government services other than the Isla Vista Foot Patrol and no community center. The Centers for Disease Control includes community centers as one of its "Healthy Community Design Principles" and the report "A Snapshot on Poverty in Santa Barbara County" recommended that social services be located in areas accessible to the communities most in need. If the board decides to deny Isla Vista the last available spaces for community gatherings, non-profit outreach, and social services the community will suffer. To learn more check out: https://www.facebook.com/evplaucsb Associated Students represents thousands of students and their neighbors in Isla Vista who would be adversely impacted by continued development with no regard to community health and safety. For years students have worked and lived in Isla Vista without the resources that other communities in the county enjoy. Help us reverse this trend and stop the injustice.220 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Alexander Moore

Moment of Silence for Garnet Valley ReinstatedThe September 11, 2001 terror attacks resulted in 2,996 immediate deaths and 2,977 victims not including the surviving family members of those that died. Everyone probably knows of someone who had a Dad, Mom, Uncle, Aunt, Cousin, friend or neighbor who died that day. The students of Garnet Valley want to have a minute of silence to honor those hero's and victims on September 11th every year.37 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Katherine Hayes

Breeds dont make the dogThe euthanization of a dog because it is a pitt or rottweiler or otherwise what is known as a so-called aggressive breed is wrong and should be changed. Unless the dog is out of control and is literally just randomly biting people they should have a chance in life just as all people do. I have met plenty of pitts and all of my limbs are still in place. None of them have attacked me, and some of them are trained to protect. Not to kill or harm but to protect the family. If the dog doesnt listen or can not be retrained and is just constantly attacking people or has had the taste of blood then its understandable but to kill an animal just because one has been aggressive due to being trained by its owner that way is just wrong. One bad dog doesnt make the whole breed bad and it is time to stop the animal cruelty.44 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brittany
