• Tougher Penalties for those who harm service dogs
Last month in Florida, a woman threw bleach in the eyes of a service dog at a Publix grocery store because her fear of dogs. She may as well have throw bleach into the eyes of a seeing person. Though the dog was unharmed, this unfortunate incident is not isolated. There have been other instances across the country where people have knowingly hurt service dogs. Service dogs should receive the same protection that police dogs do.

  • Don't Restrict # of ID's to Obtain a Ballot
The NH Senate Republicans voted to limit the number of acceptable ID's you can present to get your ballot. They also want to take a mugshot of you if you don't have one of the few ID's. Join me in calling on senators to come to their senses and compromise in a committee of conference by passing HB 595 as it was introduced.

  • church state separation under attack
Increasingly, religion rears its ugly head in our public institutions. Jefferson’s “wall of separation” is under attack. All of us are affected by religious yahoos who attempt to circumvent the Constitution for their own superstitious views.

  • Let's Ban Plastic Bags in New York -- Now
New York is a horrible offender when it comes to plastic bag waste. We carelessly throw out 100,000 tons of plastic bags every year and pay other states to take our trash because there's nowhere for it to go. Our use of plastic bags in completely unsustainable and has to stop. It's time to follow San Francisco, L.A. and Seattle, and ban plastic bags in New York City forever.
