It is not reasonable to expect that teachers can or should do what we normally send in a highly skilled Special Weapons And Tactics police unit to do. Encouraging or sanctioning teachers to act as combatants is a set up for disaster. Let the teachers teach, counsel, and help students grow up to be non-violent people and let the police do the job of protecting them and their students while they do that.

We should protect our children and love ones by taking assault weapons such as the bushmaster use to slaughter 21 children while at school. The only hunting this assault weapon is good for is hunting people. Lets pass some sensible gun laws.

The Chicago City Council consists of 50 wards and 50 alderman. I submit that the the same 50 wards can be managed with 25 alderman.

I purchased a fifth wheel in November of 1997 from Keybank in Ohio,it was company used by the dealership.The loan was for fifteen yearrsI had nine skip a payments.with Keybank,all i was told was the pay $50.00 for processing fees.......No one told me that the terms and interest would change.I was under the impression that payments would be added on the back of my intial loan.Thanks Patsy Butler#370337

I used to go to work every day . When I didn't go to work I did not get paid. If I decided not to work my boss probably would have fired me. So this is why we american are paying congress a pay check of $174,000. a year for 41days of work.I feel if they do not work don"t pay them. That is our money that is paying them and we sent them to Washington to work not sit in the well of Congress and do nothing.

The only viable way to create a modern campaign finance system that enables candidates to swear off special interest money and to run vigorous campaigns is to implement a public financed system that relies on a blend of small donor and public funds. Doing so has been proven to end the pervasive conflict of interest created by the current system, open the door to greater involvement by citizens in the electoral process and restore a measure of confidence by the American people in the integrity of their institutions and in the people who serve them. Most importantly, it liberates members of all political parties from the endless pursuit of money that begins when they assume office, and instead allows them to concentrate on the people’s business. Such a system renews the people’s faith that politicians are working diligently on their true responsibilities and the core purpose of representative government.

Gov. Corbett is against meeting the needs of the citizens of PA. We need to let him know that he can't take Medicare and Social Security away from us.

Due to no control, we have millions of military weapons that are unregistered in the United States. Registering these weapons is a national priority for gun safety.

It's time for the Florida Legislature to enact state laws banning texting while driving, and the use of a hand-held cell phone while driving a motor vehicle. Florida is only one of eleven states that does not have a ban on texting. Not only is this a serious safety issue, but because Florida has not passed a ban on texting while driving, it is not entitled to any of the federal highway funds amounting to over 22.5 million dollars enacted into law by Congress last year, signed by the President, and which will be distributed this year.

My petition is about three prominent issues: Gun Control for each citizen who has possession of any armed weapons (guns or otherwise) in this community (Especially citizens who are violent prone). Secondly an individual charged with cases (They are/have served a sentence) but they did not commit should in some way be compensated and their name publicly and physically (on paper) cleared. The third issue is "The Fair Sentencing Act", in which people of color should have equal consideration as other White counterparts have in these cases. The forth issue is that marijuana should never be legalized in the state of Maryland even for cancer patients because that are less threatening things to use to treat cancer. Finally, those persons involved in re-entering into the community should have the proper mandated training and skills to re enter into the community for lower recidivism rates.
