Gun violence affects everyone. I doubt the founding fathers wanted US citizens to be armed and dangerous a la Rambo. We should not allow weapons in the hands of anyone, at anytime, for any reason. No questions asked. If USA is to excel it is because we can change policies and adapt. It should be a part of our Homeland Security.

Every day I am inundated by this dangerous, hate filled speech which I believe encourages violence. I am a big proponent of free speech, but some times enough is enough and I do not want this hate mongering going out into the world over we the peoples public airwaves. This speech has no public benefit.

I went behind the scenes in this market/slaughterhouse (you can pick out your animal to be killed) and I was horrified. Workers poking crammed chickens in cages with a huge poker that looks like something you would use for a grill, no adequate food or water, and animals in bad shape. A rabbit with a broken leg and back that was left there to suffer, (I bought him and sadly he was in such bad shape that he had to be euthanized). It is illegal to sell injured animals yet they did for 20 dollars. Animals left in filth, goats petrified when you approach them, just a horrible atmosphere all around.

In the wake of the Aurora shootings, any politician who has received campaign donations from pro-gun groups should immediately return them. Or if they choose not to do so they should explain why they feel it is imperative to keep their donation.

After the shootings in Tucson, AZ in 2011 and Aurora, CO on July 20, 2012, we need to stand up to the NRA and pass the Fix Gun Checks Act, along with other legislation, to ensure that massacres like this do not happen in our country again.

I would like 2 c a program put in place similar 2 Medicare, but 'optional' 4 all those who r working & paying into Soc Sec, etc. Vet bills have become so exorbitant/outrageous that I believe anyone willing 2 adopt a homeless pet should have access to PETICARE -- a progam established nationwide thru the Federal Govt or State, if necessary. There w/have 2 b safeguards re a limit of adopting only 2 pets, etc., & offering help only w/their medical needs. The time has come 4 us 2 step up & look out 4 the animals -- even the timing is not good obviously when there r those in our govt who r currently trying 2 eliminate SS & Medicare 4 HUMANS.
