• Suspension of Congressional Healthcare
As I type this, Congress is trying desperately to repeal the bill commonly referred to as Obamacare. This bill has given untold numbers of people, who had no healthcare before, coverage and saved countless numbers of lives in the process. And while they claim to be working on a replacement, we have heard the timetable of between a few weeks to "somewhere down the road". This is completely unacceptable! That is why, as a show of solidarity and good faith with the American people, the members of Congress that vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should also suspend their own healthcare until such time that a suitable replacement has been conceived, ratified, and put into effect. If they truly have something good in the works and are not simply gas-lighting the American people, drunk off of their own power, or simply looking to dismantle the legacy of President Barack Obama, then this small action should be nothing but a minor inconvenience to them. Congress, do what you know to be right and suspend your own healthcare coverage until such time as a replacement for Obamacare has been completed.

  • Delegitimize 45th Presidential Election
In light of U.S. intelligence findings, outside influences successfully inhibited our political process and diverted its outcome. Our Founding Fathers did not think of everything. In order to achieve feats never before achieved we must employ methods never before used!!

  • Health care is a human right
The GOP controlled Congress is currently debating repealing the Affordable Care Act with no plans to keep coverage for the 30 million people currently enrolled in the program. It is morally reprehensible to cut off access to lifesaving treatments and leave working families to fend for themselves. The Republicans in Congress are pursuing a vendetta against the ACA even though the majority of Americans do not want it repealed. Congress should look out for ordinary Americans and protect our care. Do not repeal the ACA.

  • Boycott Trump's "News Conference" Next Week
Donald Trump has scheduled his first "press conference" since July next week, on the day that Republicans are planning to railroad through SIX of his most controversial cabinet picks. Ask the major news media outlets to focus the majority of their resources and coverage on the confirmation hearings and not on the sideshow that Trump's bait and switch "news conference" is sure to be.

  • Pardon Scott Knight
Ask President Obama to do the right thing and, pardon Inmate Scott Knight from his long prison sentence for a non-violent offense. "Few people know what it feels like to arrest a man. To hear the click of the handcuffs that so ominously foretells the loss of freedom, citizenship rights and personal potential for years to come. To know that while he’s imprisoned, other far more dangerous criminals are getting away. And when that arrest is for drugs or other petty crimes, to know his imprisonment will neither help him kick his habit nor make his community any safer." Stephen Downing Former LAPD Deputy Chief If President Obama doesn't pardon Scott before he leaves office Scott may have to spend another 10 years in jail for a non-violent offense. Please sign this petition to help Scott regain his freedom.

  • House GOP: Do not repeal the Endangered Species Act
The Endangered Species Act is supported by 9 out of 10 U.S. voters, has a 99% success rate, and has prevented hundreds of species from going extinct in the 43 years it's been on the books. Despite this, Congressman Rob Bishop is using his role as Chair of the House Natural Resources Committee to take aim at this bedrock conservation law. He recently told a news outlet that he wants to "repeal and replace" the law and that lawmakers may "simply have to start over again." This reckless assault on the Endangered Species Act threatens wildlife recovery at a time when the planet is already amidst what scientists call the sixth great extinction event. Tell Chairman Rob Bishop to abandon his misguided and dangerous attempts to "repeal and replace" the Endangered Species Act. http://www.eenews.net/eedaily/2016/12/09/stories/1060046928

  • Congress: Don't take away our health care
Paul Ryan and Republican extremists just rushed Trump's rejected, train-wreck of a health care bill through the House of Representatives. And now it's even worse. Not only are they trying again to kick 24 million Americans off of their health care, they're now trying to end protections for pre-existing conditions as well. As infuriating and frightening as the House doing this is, we've always had a better chance at stopping this bill in the Senate. We have a real shot at defeating it there. We've defeated Trumpcare before, and we know exactly what to do to defeat it this time: make sure that members of Congress hear an immediate and overwhelming outcry from their constituents—so they know that there'll be hell to pay if they vote for this cruel and reckless plan.

  • Recall this judge!
"In his verdict, Judge Reed O'Connor argued laws that would otherwise forbid gender-based discrimination require doctors "to remove the categorical exclusion of transitions and abortions (a condition they assert is a reflection of their religious beliefs and an exercise of their religion) and conduct an individualized assessment of every request for those procedures." In other words, doctors would have to argue on an individual basis their refusal of a patient. This ruling is unconscionable. Such actions and the decision-makers who institutionalize discrimination must be stopped.

  • Stop US Cellular's Residential Cell Tower Construction
We are a group of concerned neighbors and constituents from all walks of life who stand together against this absurd cell tower construction. Our neighborhood would see property values plummet by upwards of 20% according to some studies. We believe that the homes of our neighborhood are more important than better 4g coverage. We also believe that the church they are building the tower on has been taken for a ride because English is not their first language. We will not be bullied by a corporation and we will not allow our neighbors to be bullied either.
