Nestlé is known for depleting water supplies. I care about my state and the people in it. Arizona is already struggling with a drought and a rapidly growing population. The last thing Arizona needs is further strain on its precious water supply.

Guatemala's government has acted aggressively towards peaceful Belizeans in Sarstoon area and continues with its unfounded claim to Belizean territory. A temporary ban on importation of goods and services from Guatemala is proposed until such time that Guatemalan aggression ceases in Sarstoon area and peaceful Belizeans are able to travel unimpeded to Sarstoon Island.

Trump has gotten away with telling the public that his taxes are none of your business. It is our business to know how he ran his business, what tax rate he paid and where his charitable contributions were.

This petition was created to help show Legislative Hall the public support for passing the Homeless Individuals' Bill of Rights. This bill would give equality back to those facing homelessness. This bill will help stop the discrimination happening everyday to those in our communities who are trying to get through a rough patch in their lives. It would also help give the homeless a foundation to stand on to get back on their feet. Over 30 low-income families, nearly all of them Latino, are threatened with mass eviction by the Kittitas County, WA, Board of Commissioners, who have signed a purchase-and-sale agreement for the Shady Acres (Shady Brook) mobile home court and announced plans to evict or relocate all residents, in order to build a seasonal RV parking lot for the adjacent County Fairgrounds and Events Center. Most families own their manufactured houses, but these homes are old and cannot be safely moved. Housing specialists explain there is simply not sufficient affordable housing in the county to house these low-income families, who may face homelessness and destitution. It is vital that this tightly-knit, multigenerational community, in which residents provide a great deal of mutual support, be kept intact. Once the county announces the shut down of the park, residents legally have only 12 months to find new housing.

With heightened public alarm about money in politics, California's outdated online disclosure system is inadequate for meaningful transparency. SB 1349, by Sen. Bob Hertzberg, would create a modern campaign finance disclosure system that allows voters to access information crucial to understanding the candidates and measures they vote on. SB 1349 is a HUGE leap forward for disclosure and transparency in California. Please sign the petition to urge Governor Brown and legislative leaders to provide enough funds in the budget for SB 1349 to help shed light on Dark Money now.

Let's bring an end to state sanctioned murder! Let's give Life not Death! I propose a 'Give Life Penalty ', whereby, if a condemned inmate agrees to donate non life threatening organs and/or to donate blood regularly; that their sentence be commuted.

Political Literacy is exceptionally low in the United States. While K-12 public education covers the fundamental structure of government, the inner workings of national political parties is almost entirely ignored. Political Parties set their own rules. Over the decades, the Presidential Nomination Process has changed and changed again; meaning, the current system is changeable. For 2016, we’ve got to work with what we’ve got and plan ahead for 2018 and 2020! Super Delegates make up 17-20% of delegate votes at the Democratic National Convention. This results in a few hundred party insiders ALWAYS choosing the nominee for the Democratic Party. Such a system blatantly concentrates control into the hands of a very few…while pretending to represent the many. The DNC and Corporate Media are pushing a narrative which promotes Hillary Clinton as the “legitimate” candidate, casting Bernie Sanders (and those who seek his nomination) as a “less than” or “protest vote.” In truth, both are legitimate candidates and no one needs to excuse their interest in one or the other candidate. Ultimately, we need the BEST person for the job, both in the race this Summer and as President for the next four years. A Contested Convention occurs when no candidate earns enough Pledged Delegates to clinch the nomination. In the 1930’s, a Contested Convention gave us FDR. His New Deal gave us Wall Street regulations, high taxes on the upper class, massive investment in America, and resulted in a strong Middle Class. In other words, “We’ve been here before, we’ve succeeded before, and we can do it again.”

Clear examples include expressing hope that a fellow Democrat meets a violent death, implicitly threatening harm, hurling obscene insults, and knocking over chairs to disrupt a convention. In 2008 a supporter of John McCain publicly called on the media to “peel the bark off Barack Hussein Obama.” Within hours, McCain announced “I absolutely repudiate such comments.” The offender responded “Why would John McCain repudiate me,” and stopped supporting McCain. Others would instead improve their conduct. Either response solves the problem. If however, a candidate remains silent, that silence is inevitably taken as encouragement by the offenders. Hence silence makes the candidate culpable and is itself unacceptable.

The DNC has been in bed with the dirty politics of the Clinton machine since the beginning of the primary season. When the deny Sanders in June, We need someone to vote for that isn't Authoritarian Donald Trump or Wall Street Pet Hillary Clinton that has legitimate chance of having a successful campaign and change the narrative of the election. The Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the United States. Their presumptive nominee Gary Johnson was a two term Governor of New Mexico and his running mate was twice elected governor of Massachusetts. That is a ticket that should be taken seriously. He is pro pot legalization, anti war, pro choice, pro immigrant, anti-IRS, small government, and a successful business man who has climbed Mt. Everest. He can only take part on the presidential debates if he is polling above 15% nationally averaged in 5 national polls. He is already at 10 or -11 in the only 2 he's been included in. I would love another viable option rather than Clinton or Trump. Let's petition the major polling sources and the media to include Johnson in the polling! Lets get Johnson into the presidential debates, which can't happen without getting to 15% in the polls, which can't happen if he's not in the polls!! Help!
