I have witnessed the similar registration issues and suspicions of fraud in states across the US, and this seems to be the exact scenario in New York. Registered voters are being told they needed to choose party affiliation last year, which is a last minute change in the policy. People having never registered to vote before can wait until April 25th to decide which party, but already registered voters must make a decision by October of last year? This is an attempt to suppress independents and force people to decide on a party before they know everything about all candidates, which is not democracy.

Mayor Bowser backed a $15 minimum wage in her State of the District address. This is huge news! Big business tried to tangle up our $15 ballot initiative in the courts and keep DC residents from having a say on our city's minimum wage. But now, thanks to our organizing efforts, the Mayor has come out strong for $15 and the real fight begins. The Mayor is sending legislation to the DC Council in April. County officials allocated one polling place for every 108,000 residents but Anglo communities had more polling sites per residents. The result was traffic jams, and people had to wait in 5+ hour lines to vote. We must remove all products and divest from all companies directly supporting the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine. Since its recognition as a state in 1949, Israel has violated over 30 United Nations Security Council resolution, which are legally binding. In 2015, the United States gave Israel $10.2 million a day in military aid alone. That means that last year the US spent nearly $4 billion on Israel’s military. This funding, provided by American taxpayers, allows the military to maintain it’s illegal occupation of Palestine, carry out military assaults on Gaza, and use military grade weaponry to “police” Palestinian territory. North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory signed into law HB2, a sweepingly broad bill that voids LGBT nondiscrimination ordinances statewide and revokes the right of transgender citizens to use public restrooms based on gender identity. Apple has invested tens of millions of dollars in North Carolina building massive data centers and solar farms. One year ago, Tim Cook said that Apple would be "standing up to oppose" state laws legalizing discrimination and attacking gender equality. Ask Tim Cook to make good on his word and publicly announce Apple's adamant opposition to HB2 and plans to reallocate future business expansion if the legislature does not repeal this law.
