PETITION: FIRE TUCKER CARLSON FOR DEMANDING VIEWERS HARASS MASK WEARERSFive nights a week, an average of more than 3 million people tune in to watch Tucker Carlson on Fox News—it's the largest audience of any show on cable news. In April alone, those millions of viewers have heard Carlson claim that COVID-19 vaccines don't work, that having children wear masks to protect them from the virus is child abuse, that convicted murderer Derek Chauvin did nothing wrong, and that Democrats want to replace white voters with immigrants—a decades-old racist and antisemetic argument known as the "replacement theory." Videos featuring Carlson's comments doubting the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines are spreading like wildfire on social media, with one clip viewed nearly 6 million times on Facebook alone. Carlson isn’t the only one: FOX pundits have been behaving in the most irresponsible manner imaginable for years. According to Media Matters, two weeks after the election was called for President Joe Biden, Fox pundits casted doubt on the results nearly 800 times. Fox News repeatedly aided Trump’s efforts to undermine election results, laying the groundwork to cry foul if Trump lost, echoing debunked theories of fraud, pushing the idea that Democrats are trying to “steal” this election, and arguing that Trump is justified in pursuing his claims of a rigged election. This pattern of coverage consequently led up to the deadly insurrection led by white nationalists. With our democracy—and human lives—on the line, we cannot allow despicable figures like Tucker Carlson to drive these harmful and dangerous messages. Please sign this petition and ask everyone you know to also sign it so we can send a clear message to Tucker Carlson and FOX News that their irresponsible conduct is being monitored and will not be tolerated.44,465 of 45,000 SignaturesCreated by Anthony Jagger

Roseville - Proclaim June as Pride MonthOur nation was founded on the principle of equal rights for all people. Advancements have been made with respect to equitable treatment of LGBTQ persons throughout the nation. But the ideals of our founders have yet to be realized. The City of Roseville has a diverse LGBTQ community which continues to struggle for inclusion especially in this time of extreme divisiveness. The City of Roseville has a duty to: * bring its residents together, * to support one another, * to show solidarity for all its citizens, and * to invite everyone to reflect on ways we all can live and work together, committed to mutual respect and understanding, committed to supporting dignity and equity for all people in the community. The City of Roseville can demonstrate its support for our city’s diversity and our LGBTQ community by flying the rainbow flag at City Hall during the month of June.861 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Tomas Vera

SAVE El Crystal Elementary School & Combine with City ParkWHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? THE EL CRYSTAL ELEMENTARY SITE IS BEING SOLD – GET INVOLVED! The San Bruno Park School District is selling the former El Crystal Elementary site, giving the City a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to consider acquiring this property. However, the School District is negotiating with potential buyers without any formal process for public input on what best serves the needs of the community. We, the residents of San Bruno, must tell our Board of Trustees and City Council that we want them to thoroughly explore all options for the City of San Bruno to acquire the El Crystal School Property. WHAT CAN I DO? We must pressure our elected officials to work together in the best interests of our community. Combined, these are our highest elected individuals in San Bruno with a total of 10 members. Six (6) of those members are up for re-election in 2022. It is time that our wishes be heard! WHY SHOULD I GET INVOLVED? The expansion of San Bruno City Park would allow for so many possibilities such as a library, fields, maker spaces, childcare, etc. Many of these uses could provide mutual benefit for our students as well as the broader community. None are possible if the land is not maintained within the City. We all value open space, we all value parks and we must fight for them. I KEEP HEARING THE CITY HAS NO MONEY – HOW CAN THIS BE FUNDED? While the City certainly has many competing priorities and limited funds, there are options available. The City is expecting over $100 million in developers’ fees over the next 10 years and has put in place various initiatives expected to generate new revenue in 2021. The San Bruno Community Foundation, which was created to use the restitution funds from the Crestmoor Explosion could also potentially provide some funding to assist with the purchase. After the new Recreation and Aquatic Center is built there will be approximately $30 million remaining. The SBCF just completed a listening campaign for community input that identified both our schools and our parks as top community priorities. The Board of Trustees also can be a part of finding creative and flexible solutions with regards to the sale price and timing for when funds are received. The public can encourage them to use that flexibility for the best interest of the San Bruno community. NOW WHAT? Sign this petition and make your voice heard! Have you considered attending the next City Council meeting to speak during public comment asking that funds be allocated for the purchase of El Crystal? Have you contacted your elected officials? Have you contacted the San Bruno Community Foundation or attended their town hall meetings? Their website is http://www.sbcf.org/. We cannot let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass. It is now or never.348 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Stephen Seymour

Add Social Emotional Learning to the CurriculumI am a Master of Social Work at Johnson C. Smith University. I currently intern at a public high school in Charlotte, NC. I have been working the second half of the semester on increasing awareness of social emotional wellness and how this is beneficial for our students on a regular basis. This is important to students in all grades due to each and every child needs to develop social skills as well as emotional awareness skills to remain self-aware. When a student becomes more in tune with their social and emotional wellness, they may gain positive attitudes towards themselves, building their self-esteem in different aspects. They may begin to show an increase in positive behaviors and better relationships with adults and peers. This increased awareness of SEL [social emotional learning] may lead to decreases in risk-taking behaviors and emotional stress; all while improving grades, test scores, and attendance. Lets go to the CMS School Board and have this proposal signed and brought into our Charllotte schools! Sign this as support for change!35 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Corinna Archie-McMillan

Starting a missing person database for national parksThere are so many missing persons who have disappeared in national parks and these people are not on names or the charlie project. So we as citizens do not have a true count on missing people in America. It is not fair for families to have no way to reach out and get info on there missing lived ones.50 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Roy

Danby NY Noise Ordinance PetitionMany scientific studies have linked noise exposure to direct and cumulative detrimental physical and mental health effects that include, but are not limited to, hearing loss, cardiovascular disease, reduced productivity, negative social behavior, sleep deprivation, annoyance reactions, and increases the frequency of antisocial behavior. Nuisance noise adversely affects health and well-being in the same way as chronic stress (H. A. R. Jensen, B. Rasmussen, and O. Ekholm, “Neighbour noise annoyance is associated with various mental and physical health symptoms: results from a nationwide study among individuals living in multi-storey housing,” BMC Public Health, vol. 19, no. 1, p. 1508, Nov. 2019, doi: 10.1186/s12889-019-7893-8. America must help India through its COVID crisisIndia is in the midst of the world's worst COVID outbreak. Hospitals in India are stretched beyond their breaking point. Mass crematoriums cannot keep pace with the constant stream of the dying. Helping India in its hour of crisis is the right thing to do morally – but it's also the right thing for America. None of us are safe until the entire world is rid of COVID.1,218 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Jay S

Take Action to Decriminalize California’s Emergency Response to Mental Health CrisesFor decades, California has underfunded mental health services. As a result, the criminal justice system often serves as the state’s default mental health provider, with jails and prisons filled with people suffering from mental illness. In addition, an estimated 10% of law enforcement agencies’ budgets – and 20% of staff time – are spent responding to individuals with mental illness. A direct consequence of our overreliance on law enforcement responses to mental health crises is that almost a quarter of all people killed in police-involved shootings since 2015 had a known mental illness, with black men dying at a disproportionate rate. Between when Derek Chauvin’s trial started and his conviction for the murder of George Floyd, 64 people died at the hands of police. More than a dozen of them had a known mental illness or were in the throes of a mental health crisis. In 2019, Miles Hall, a 23-year-old black man living in Walnut Creek, was in the midst of a schizophrenic mental health crisis when his family called 911 for help. Despite being familiar with Miles’ condition, the officers resorted to lethal force within a minute of their arrival. Law enforcement officers are not mental health experts and should not be expected to serve this role. A better system for Miles and all Californians is possible – one that leads with treatment, not law enforcement. Last year, the federal government established “988” as the new 3-digit alternative to 911 for mental health crises. Callers to 988 will be connected with around-the-clock support, including mobile crisis teams that can respond to the scene with trained mental health professionals and peers rather than law enforcement. If California does not act now, the state will lose critical federal support and funding. Please urge California lawmakers to pass, and Governor Gavin Newsom to sign, Assembly Bill 988 (Bauer-Kahan) – also known as the Miles Hall Lifeline Act – to implement the 988 system in California and take concrete steps to reduce shootings where mental health is involved. AB 988 will ensure that we respond to a health crisis with a health response.4,410 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by The Miles Hall Foundation

Oppose I2 Zoning on Ronald Reagan Parkway in BrownsburgThe current I2 development project being rushed through Town Council approval will bring an "Amazon-type" distribution facility that will be approximately 75% of the size of the current one in Whitestown, Indiana... PLUS three other large facilities ranging from 169,000-572,000 square feet. As the first major development on RRP, these warehouses will set the tone for all future projects and discourage appropriate smaller warehouses, commercial applications and business parks that would actually provide amenities to residents. This plan is against the Town of Brownsburg Comprehensive Plan, the Economic Development Strategic Plan, the Brownsburg Unified Development Ordinances and the Ronald Reagan Parkway Master Plan. Town Council's response to these objections is that they are working on changing all of these documents to allow for this type of development to avoid these conflicts in the future. The Ronald Reagan Parkway has become the predominant transportation route for Brownsburg residents to connect to I-74, with a popular secondary route at the adjacent US 136/Crawfordsville Road. We believe this I2 development will choke these traffic patterns for residents due to 24/7 semi truck traffic and employee shift rotations, as well as make the bicycle trails connecting to the B&O Trail completely useless in this area. This I2 development plan also shows an absolute lack of care for adjacent residential properties. These neighbors have invested their lives in Brownsburg's future, so this is so much more than just an argument over property values. We believe this development will make their current homes unsustainable for any measure of quality of life. If you share the opinions above, then please sign this petition to show opposition for I2 Zoning on Ronald Reagan Parkway.555 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Amy McNeely
