I am a physician who practices environmental medicine and have seen many people who are becoming ill and electrically sensitive after a smart meter was installed on their home. The thousands of scientific studies showing harmful effects from this type of radiation are not being considered by the FCC for safe limits of exposure. It has been declared a carcinogen by the World Health Organization and the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has just announced that he is running for the Democratic nomination for president. Welcoming him to the race, the Democratic National Committee wrote: “Having a wide range of progressive views in this race is good for the dialogue of our party and for our country. And Bernie Sanders is a progressive champion… We couldn't be more excited to hear him to say he's in.” Bernie has been a champion for peace and diplomacy. He was the first Senator to announce that he would skip Netanyahu’s anti-diplomacy speech to Congress. [1] Bernie’s influence is going to grow, now that he’s an announced candidate for President. And, he remains a United States Senator. We need Bernie’s help to remove an anti-peace provision of the trade bills currently before Congress. This provision would make it US policy to endorse Israeli settlements in the West Bank by saying that the US has to oppose European measures to restrict trade with these settlements. [2] This provision is opposed by J Street [3], Americans for Peace Now [4], and JVP [5]. Bernie’s against Fast Track for the TPP trade deal, which is the main thing that people are fighting about on the trade package. But that doesn’t mean he can’t use his influence to help us – other Democrats in Congress who oppose the current Fast Track proposal are using their influence to try to get the pro-settlement provision out of the trade package. Welcome Bernie to the race, and urge him to use his influence to help us remove the pro-settlement provision from the trade legislation, by signing our petition. Changes are coming to the profession, and NCARB and the vast majority of jurisdictions in the United States have decided to embrace it. Illinois patients are suffering because of narrow guidelines that limit eligibility to use medical cannabis as a viable treatment option. It's time for patients to finally have access to this proven and effective, life-changing treatment.

Witnessing drug sales, deviance, criminal behavior, the breaking of laws and ordinances in the streets of Pennsgrove is a daily phenomenon for many of the residents who reside in this one square mile town. We, the community members wish to help our local Police Department fight the crime that is destroying this town. This petition is a part of a community action that would include a fundraising effort for the Bicycles for Our Pennsgrove Police Officers for the reasons listed above.

My brother Akram Muhammad a young black male was just found guilty of a crime in which he is clearly innocent of. The charge against him was not backed by any factual evidence. Akram's DNA or finger prints were not found on this hand gun. He was getting a ride home by a person in which he did not know was a felon and being pursued by ATF agents. My brother was getting into the backseat of this person's vehicle to be brought home after job searching at a relative's home. The moment at which my brother was entering the backseat of the vehicle the car was surrounded by a multiple police agencies to arrest the other individuals not my brother. Later when my brother could not give Federal agents information on the other parties they indicted him for a weapons charge, which was the same indictment of the two other parties. The agents found a weapon in the vehicle but this weapon did not have my brother's finger prints or DNA on it and the ATF agent testified that my brother made a motion to his waistband consistent to having a weapon. This could not be true to not have any factual evidence to what this agent testified to. My brother could not have enough time to clean all trace evidence off of said gun without wearing gloves in which he did not have on and while placing his hands up for ATF agent to arrest him. There was a lot of inconsistencies to the testimony of the agent and his initial report 6 months before my brother's trial. Please help my family get justice for my brother. He deserves a chance at freedom and to finish a life he was just starting to have. We have to take a stand against racial injustice and charging innocent people with crimes!

According to the UC Berkeley Labor Center, between 80,000 and 98,000 Contra Costa County residents are estimated to remain uninsured this year. People without health care coverage generally wait to seek care until they are seriously ill. In many cases, health problems that could have been avoided with preventative care or treated early for little cost become significant and costly health issues. The impacts of this include increased demand on emergency services and increased costs to our healthcare system. Let’s build a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Contra Costa County by ensuring access to healthcare for all.
