So far we have two candidates running in for the Democratic nomination: Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Although I believe Sanders has better ideas, I do not think he is electable. I also think that given his title as a self described socialist (I am too), he would have a very hard time working with a Republican controlled Congress. Hillary, while being more moderate, could get a lot more done that could be very good for the nation.

I'm starting this because entitlement is poison, just because you have a complaint or don't agree with someone doesn't mean you can petition them to lose their job.

As a Minnesota resident and a mother, I care about our state's many rivers, lakes and streams, especially as they supply our drinking water. Recent reports stating that the levels of nitrates in Minnesota drinking water are elevated have me concerned for the health of my child and us all. Requiring buffer zones around rivers, lakes and streams in agricultural areas is just common sense and good stewardship of our lands and waters.

All of us in California are affected by this issue. We citizens are being told we must drastically cut back our water usage. Why is the state allowing fracking companies to continue to use millions of gallons of water a day in California? We want them out!

Transparency means : 1. The police report will be completed and released to the public. IMPD's literature says it takes at the most 7 days to release the report. We are now more than a month after Mack's killing. How can this delay be interpreted as transparent? 2. Release the videos. If IMPD has nothing to hide then release the videos so the people can see what the cameras saw. 3. Instead of putting evidence out in secrecy have a public coroner inquest instead of a grand jury.

Low wages are detrimental to people struggling in poverty. We need to raise our minimum wages so families don't have to struggle so hard feeding themselves and their children.

Child homelessness in San Francisco is the most severe it has been since the 1906 earthquake. Enough public schoolchildren are homeless to fill 70 classrooms. Throughout the city, there are children who live in cars with their parents, in residential hotels, crowded on mats in church basements, in shelters, or in tents. This MUST END! The change has been rapid and dramatic: A decade ago, waits for shelter were no more than a week, and a family could generally expect to find a place to live in San Francisco by the time their shelter stay ended. Today, not only are more San Franciscans losing their housing due to displacement, but also the likelihood of finding housing at the end of a shelter stay in San Francisco has faded to the vanishing point. In San Francisco, we are fortunate to have the resources and know-how to end this crisis. We are calling on the Mayor to address the housing needs of all those families with minor children who meet the City’s definition of homelessness including those in shelters, in cars, in residential hotels, doubled up and in garages. Each of these forms of existence have negative impacts on the development of children that can be addressed by ensuring dignified housing. Our goals are not modest, but they are achievable: • By housing all currently homeless children, we will halt an accumulated backlog that has been driving lengthy episodes of homelessness. • We will return our emergency system to the role it was designed to play, an emergency system that can quickly shelter families without waiting for a bed to open. • We will prevent homelessness through dynamic interventions that capture families before they lose their housing for those for which there is a remedy. For those instances there is no preventing, such as domestic violence or fires, we will be able to quickly shelter and rapidly re-house.

We need to remove barriers to voting. Online registration would make it easier to register for all eligible Wisconsin citizens.

We’re facing a clean water emergency in California. Regulators recently admitted that for years the oil industry has been illegally dumping millions of gallons of wastewater, including waste from fracking, into our state’s protected aquifers. Yet—in an outrageous move—the state is allowing the contamination to continue. Join thousands of other Californians who are telling Governor Brown to put an immediate stop to this illegal water pollution. The oil and gas industry has been injecting wastewater and other fluids into protected aquifers through about 2,500 injection wells, in direct violation of federal and state law. Yet despite acknowledging the threat to our water supplies, the state has shut down only 23 of the wells. And now, in order to avoid “inconvenience” to the industry, the state is giving drillers up to nearly two more years to contaminate aquifers that could be used for drinking water. Earthjustice is challenging this outrageous action in state court, but we need your help to put additional pressure on the governor. Tell Governor Brown to put the public first and protect our aquifers from further contamination now. In the midst of a massive drought, we should not be catering to the oil industry at the expense of our dwindling fresh water supplies.

Pennsylvania is my home state. Its natural beauty and resources have historically been abused for much too long. We must fight for what is left is for us to preserve, protect and revere. Please join me in my love for Pennsylvania's nature, and help to protect its integrity!

Big Sugar, as it is known in Florida, has contributed big money throughout Florida government, and resident leverage is lacking to force the state legislators to do their job in accordance with the Constitutional amendment recently passed, against the influence of these monetary contributions. Big Politics and Big Sugar have gotten into bed with each other, and boycotting Big Sugar seems to be the only measure left capable of supporting our state constitution in this matter, since the Legislators appear to be immune to our constitutional guidance.
