I am an alum from Jones High School (one of the schools on the chopping block). With parents and stakeholders standing up for schools across the city, HISD must use creativity and innovation to meet its challenges. I will not stand idly by as Mr. Grier closes schools in low-income neighborhoods. Public education should be just that: public, and accessible. Where will our children go to school when these schools close? Across town? And who will have to pay for that? Our community. Superintendent Terry Grier, don't close down Houston schools. We need to invest in our children, not bail out on them. Take our schools off the chopping block and keep them open!

Stand Up For New Mexico's Children! In recent weeks, several cases of CYFD neglect have come to light including the death of Omaree Varela, a nine-year old boy that was allegedly beaten to death by his mother after reports to CYFD about abuse. We’ve seen too many cases where CYFD has failed New Mexico’s children in the Martinez administration. All we've seen from Governor Martinez is a pattern of excuses and shifting blame rather than action. It's time she showed more concern for protecting our children and less for covering for her political appointees. Our legislators must also demand accountability.

i feel that we as the consumers have been cheated. we demand a reason of why this product was pulled off the shelves an if there is no legit reason for it then why not bring it back?

Galestia is a huge menace on the World of Warcraft server Wrymrest Accord. She cause drama with people and when someone puts her on ignore, she goes to another character and contacts the person again giving them more troubles. Just today she was trying to get my friend's guild Steelpaw Shadoin shut down because she gave the full guild drama and as a whole they put her on ignore. She then rolled up a panda to put in the guild and outed herself. When they kicked her from the guild, she said she was going to take "legal actions" on a fictional guild of walking bears. She goes around and trolls people and doesn't like the outcome of it.

In the Pope Francis era, you'd think that an unmarried woman who becomes pregnant and decides to have the baby, rather than have an abortion, would have the support of her church. But a beloved Catholic teacher in Montana was just fired simply for becoming pregnant. According to diocesan officials, she's now a bad example for her students. This is exactly what Pope Francis is getting at when he warns that the church needs to stop being so punitive and sex-obsessed. Already a leading Catholic theologian is criticizing the diocese, saying that when "Catholic teaching on sexual matters is so widely dismissed, even by Catholics, this kind of necessarily selective enforcement is going to make Catholic teaching seem arbitrary and cruel." So far, the Bishop of Helena, George Leo Thomas, hasn't spoken publicly about this case.
