• NYCT STOP exploiting Level I Station Supervisors! Equal Work, Equal Pay.
In MTA-NYCT, Level I Station Supervisors, are being exploited, bullied, forced, and intimidated into performing the exact same duties of, Level II Station Supervisors, for less pay. NYCT ignores, "The Lilly Ledbedder Fair Pay Act of 2009," Equal Work, Equal Pay. This type of inhumane slave labor should not exist in the 21st Century, and with a giant conglomerate as, MTA-NYCT.

  • Apple: Please help Millions of Small Businesses
Yelp harms millions of small businesses everyday because of a biased review system that unfairly filters out reviews without any reason. Apple's decision to use them for their Map service misleads customers and businesses are harmed because they can't ever improve their Yelp rating despite having legitimate reviews. I have personally been affected by this issue because my business has rated a 1 star on Yelp for several years with only 1 review. Despite the fact that we are 4/5 stars on sites like Google, Dex Knows, and Angie's List. Yelp constantly filters all incoming reviews both good and bad. As a result my business has suffered because Apple relies on Yelp for Apple Maps resulting in an unfair assessment of my business. By including both filtered and unfiltered reviews in the overall score would give a more fair rating and help thousands of other small business owners out there struggling to deal with unfair Yelp reviews.

  • Save the Meander Reservoir and Our Drinking Water
Some of the closest neighbors to our Meander Reservoir, from which more than 200,000 of us obtain our drinking water, are gas wells. All wells eventually will leak. It is written in Numbers Chapter 10:9, “When you arrive in your own land and go to war against your enemies who attack you, sound the alarm with the trumpets. Then the Lord your God will remember you and rescue you from your enemies." These wells are our enemies, and I am starting this petition to sound an alarm against them.

  • Fair Share State and School Taxes
There needs to be a change the public school funding so that all school taxes in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are collected into a single, statewide pool, and then redistributed to school districts normalized for cost of living. Pennsylvania's public schools are currently funded largely on the basis of local property taxes paid by property owners and not by renters. Currently renters do not pay a school tax and some property owners have made homes into a multiple unit complex. This means that richer districts get *much* more funding per student than poorer ones, such as in rural counties or inner cities. The funding formula should be changed so that all school taxes are collected in a way of a "Fair Share Tax" in which a higher sales tax is collected into a single, statewide pool, and then redistributed to school districts normalised for cost of living (eg: it costs less to educate a child in Perry County than in Pittsburgh). Now a "Fair Share Tax"would be be economicaly responsible. The fair share tax would tax all resident, businesses, guests to the Commonwealth The end result of this will be better-educated children across Pennssylvania, improving the state's economy over the long term.

  • Cancel The Zimmerman / DMX "Celebrity" Boxing Match
Not just as Black women or Black mothers, but as deeply and truly concerned Sistas Inspiring Sistas feel that such an event simply should not occur. Besides the obvious question, How can Zimmerman (who claims a teen been him to the point of necessary deadly force) fight a fully grown man. According to his own testimony he should at minimum feel threatened and more appropriately in fear for his life. Zimmerman is a murderer not a celebrity. Murder is after all a capital crime. Nothing about a killing an unarmed youth is worthy of celebration. We consider this a mockery of justice and the legacy of Trayvon Martin. Furthermore, information has come to light concerning Damon Feldman’s lack of ethics as well. Mr. Feldman has been publicly sanctioned for fixing fights and promoting without proper fighter licensing ( In fact his ability to promote in Pennsylvania was taken during his sanctioning process). This knowledge also lends the idea that this fight may not be fair and in so doing could stir further racial unrest across the country and potentially the world. To Sistas Inspiring Sistas, Trayvon Martin’s death signifies the injustice and malfunctions of the legal system and should NOT be glorified as entertainment. We could not affect the disappointing verdict outcome last summer, but we can do something about this travesty now. Sistas Inspiring Sistas, a positive organization of Black women across the country, asks that you stand with us and sign this petition in support of canceling this match. Please support our pettition and any others including https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/stop-george-zimmerman-and-promoter-damon-feldman-using-murder-racial-hate-america-profit/0yVh1nVD

  • Save Our Children
We as parents are coming together to stop these offenders from reoffending again. Our children's safety is our top priority as parents. We believe harsher punishment should be imposed as well as changes be made with the registering of offenders. In most cases these individuals will reoffend therefore the safety of our children is always a concern. These offenders must be stopped.

  • CHIEF JUDGE ANDREW OWENS: REMOVE JUDGE THOMAS GALLEN FROM BENCH
WE THE UNDERSIGNED have genuine issues with senior Judge Thomas Gallen of 12th Judicial Circuit Florida. Judge Gallen has adjudicated in foreclosure hearings in Manatee County for a period much longer than the ‘temporary’ basis usually permitted for senior judges and at 82 years of age, he is considerably past the retirement age. As a “senior” judge he is not an elected official and therefore he is not accountable to the public for his actions and decisions. Court watchers have observed the following: Judge Gallen-- 1. Has stated openly in court that he has already decided the case before the attorneys are finished presenting the case-- 2. Often refuses to allow defense attorneys to have a closing argument— 3. Openly assists the bank plaintiff by questioning the defense witness himself— 4. Allows the bank plaintiff to enter paperwork outside the “4 corners of the complaint” in a Motion To Dismiss— 5. Provides case law to plaintiffs during hearings and trials to ensure that they prevail-- 6. Interprets the law differently for Plaintiffs than he does for defendants-- Judge Gallen makes decisions in foreclosure cases without regard to the evidence put before him, without regard to the relevant laws, Florida Statutes, case law and Rules of Civil Procedure. He makes decisions before the defendants have fully presented their case and attempts to prosecute cases from the bench. He is clearly prejudiced in favor of the Banks, financial institutions and unauthorized entities. When a Judge fails to judge fairly, understand the complicated and ever changing foreclosure issues, and has nothing to lose when he takes away a person’s property rights unfairly, he must be removed. Defendants do not want to present cases in front of Judge Gallen because he is biased. Judges in foreclosure cases are both judge and jury. The Constitution grants everyone due process of law. [N]or shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law . . . Amendment V of the Constitution Where an individual is facing a deprivation of life, liberty, or property, procedural due process mandates that he or she is entitled to adequate notice, a hearing, and a neutral judge. Many concerned citizens have wanted to have protests in front of the courthouse. We would like to avoid this undignified action. We respect the law and the courts. WE THE UNDERSIGNED RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT JUDGE THOMAS GALLEN BE REMOVED FROM HEARING FORECLOSURE ACTIONS IN THE 12TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT COURT.
