Every single day I drive my car, I see people texting while they are driving. This is getting as dangerous as drunk drivers. I want the penalty for texting while driving to be equal to a DWI offense.

Many of the USA's current seniors (75-plus) and the advancing bubble of Baby-Boomers are going to drowned this country in medical debt and a have massive problem 'warehousing' its aged and infirmed. With Obamacare going into effect, health insurance companies are misleading customers. While some on the individual market are losing their plans because they don’t comply with the new law, others whose plans are grandfathered in are being told they’ll lose coverage—and are threatened with rate hikes. Some insurers are using confusion created by the new law to hoodwink their customers into enrolling in much more expensive plans. So why is President Obama apologizing—telling the American public on national TV that he’s “sorry” to have promised that everyone can keep their health insurance? The actions of some of these companies proves why we needed health care reform in the first place: insurance companies are greedy, and cannot be trusted. It is time to set the record straight. Tell President Obama to stop apologizing for the despicable conduct of private insurance companies and hold them accountable.

The above mentioned property owner, has had complete disregard for their property and surrounding neighbors. According to long time neighbors, the home has been vacant and in this condition for at least the last twenty years. Trash, urine, and feces from unwanted rats, possums, stray/unspayed cats, and raccoons are a constant hazard. Concord police have been notified on numerous occasions due to the offensive stench coming from the home, unknown individuals sleeping on the property, and the home being unsecured. Not only is the home an eye sore, a financial burden, but more importantly, a health threat.

The Washington Post has a big problem and his name is Richard Cohen, a syndicated columnist for the paper. In July, he wrote a column justifying the racial profiling that led to the murder of unarmed Trayvon Martin. In September, he blamed Miley Cyrus and the MTV Video Music Awards for "so-called Steubenville rape," adding that the issue in Steubenville was less about criminality and more about "decency." Now he's gone too far--way, way too far--again. On November 12, he wrote a column suggesting that interracial marriage is offensive to many Americans and makes them want to "gag." Enough. This isn't a one-time mistake from Cohen--it follows a long history of deeply offensive rhetoric. And The Washington Post needs to know that this time, we're not letting them sweep it under the rug. Will you sign the petition asking the Post and its new owner, Amazon.com's Jeff Bezos, to fire Cohen?

While enrollment in private insurance plans under Obamacare stalls, enrollment in Medicaid is a huge success. Early reports from only 10 states show that nearly half a million people have already enrolled in Medicaid in only 6 weeks. We all know that there have been difficulties in the start-up of the online exchanges under the Affordable Care Act. But even if there had not been problems, many people are leery about joining another private insurance plan, even if it is subsidized. It's time for us to go the next step and implement a single payer system that will cover all Americans. As a former foreign-language teacher and a bi-lingual citizen, I have trouble finding a good selection of music and eBooks to keep up my fluency. I think that this lack of access to culturally relevant products prevents U.S. students from becoming truly interested in learning about other languages and cultures. I can browse Amazon's web-site for other countries and see lots of interesting choices, but they won't allow me to buy these products. Think about it- I want to give them money for a digital copy of an existing product, but they won't take it! What kid of business model is that? Meanwhile, corporate America wonders why our students aren't linguistically diverse....
