Save the Chickens! Change the definition of "free range"Chickens packed tightly in battery cages which are stacked on top of each other to make it so the farmers get the most eggs for the most amount of money, never mind how horrible it is for the chicken itself. The chickens can barely turn around, have to fight for food and water, and defecate all over one another. Most organic free range chickens never step foot outside. They are kept in a long coop with is packed with thousands of birds and an open window, they have to fight for just some sunlight and fresh air. This is cruel and inhumane.32 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tanya Lewis-Mulvey

Stop playing games with health careOregon Republicans are playing games with the state budget - and it's time to stop. They’re blocking the health provider tax, which brings in crucial federal matching dollars for health care for Oregon’s most vulnerable citizens. They’re playing games to try and get their way on other issues. Let's tell the Senate Republicans to put vulnerable Oregonians first. In May, the Oregon House overwhelmingly passed the health provider tax on a bipartisan vote. This tax gets matched two-for-one by federal dollars and is crucial for balancing the state budget. Let the Republicans know that it’s unacceptable to take the sick and vulnerable hostage to their agenda.1,048 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Kari Chisholm

To Amend the U.S. Constitution to Provide for Term Limits for the House and SenateBoth branches of the legisture are totally indebted to interest groups. By limiting the Senator to two terms of six years each and the House to 6 terms of 2 years each, it will limit the 'good old boy" system and help restore us to Citizen office holders and not career office holders.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Barry Zisman

Legalization of medical and recreational use of marrijauna in PennsylvaniaI'm a nurse, and it would be ideal for the nausea that patients suffer from and also help with patients who have no appetite and need caloric intake. And it's far more safer than alcohol.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Benjamin C.Spiridigliozzi

Congess: Don't Make Cuts for SNAP Benefits in the Farm Bill.Nearly 50% of the people receiving food stamps are children. The 20 billion dollars in cuts proposed by the House would make 2 million households ineligible for this benefit. For children, no food stamps means no eligibility for a free school lunch, which certainly leads to an inability to learn and may mean no food at all for them that day. This is happening NOW, how can you even think of making it worse? The Senate is proposing 4 billion dollars in cuts, but even that is too much. Food stamp benefits need to be INCREASED! A hungry child is a child who can't learn, and a generation of people who cannot fulfill their potential is a generation of workers who cannot compete in the global marketplace.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paulette Cadmus

San Antonio City Council: Stop Plastic Pollution and Ban the Bag El Concejo de la ciudad de San ...San Antonio uses millions of plastic grocery bags every year. They sit in landfills, litter streets, choke wildlife and clog our streams. And once they get into the city’s environment, plastic bags kill animals like birds, discourage potential investment, and cost the city as much as $1.3 million to clean up every year. The San Antonio city council Governance committee is currently considering adopting a ban on plastic bags and we need to show them the public supports this!

Relief for Parent LoansThere are some folks that will be paying these debts through their retirement years and only living on Social Security. The Servicing Companies will not work with the borrower on these types of loans and think they can get blood out of a stone. If you make 50% less than they payment they are demanding there is something wrong. There should be a loan foregiveness for this type of loan or the possibility to file bankruptcy for relief.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jo Mahoney
