• Star Ledger: Retract False Statements on WISOMMM Inc. & Sister Fredrica Bey
Sister Fredrica Bey and Women In Support Of the Million Man March (WISOMMM, Inc.), along with their Adelaide L. Sanford Charter School (ALSCS) have been unfairly and unjustly targeted and maligned in the Newark, New Jersey Star Ledger Newspaper for the past few years, culminating in a rash of scathing articles spanning the week of Sunday, May 5, 2013 through Saturday, May 11, 2013. The allegations against Sister Fredrica Bey, WISOMMM and ALSCS of fraud, misappropriations of funds, conflict of interest, abuse of power, criminal activity and betrayal of trust are absolutely false! Sister Fredrica Bey, WISOMMM and ALSCS have addressed, corrected and answered all inquiries, findings and questions regarding any and all issues of concern brought about by the New Jersey Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. Seven years of investigation of Sister Bey, the organization and the school found no charges being brought against Sister Bey of fraud or any criminal act whatsoever. The State of New Jersey Attorney's Office has vetted the lease between ALSCS and WISOMMM and has deemed that it is valid. WISOMMM has never charged the school for space it has never used, nor has WISOMMM ever charged ALSCS inflated rent. Sister Fredrica Bey, WISOMMM and ALSCS are only guilty of purchasing and maintaining several pieces of prime real estate with their own personal money downtown Newark, and providing programs and services within those properties that serve to empower and build the community, while creating schools that teach African Centered Education for Liberation. The attack on Sister Fredrica Bey, WISOMMM and ALSCS MUST STOP NOW!

  • Rising Corporate Profits due to Technology Revolution; Permanently Displaces the Human Workforce
Why should corporations want to create jobs and hire people when they can get one machine to replace 7 to 10 people? I know because I had sold many of these machines. Read THE END OF WORK, By Jeremy Rifkin. His eye-opening conclusions based on economic facts, proves we are headed for a global economic collision resulting from multi-corporate greed, self-interest, and its devaluation of the human worker, and, too, its non-dependency upon American consumerism. Let's create a Balance: Hire four workers, to one machine?

  • Wal Not
the largest number of guns and ammo sold in this country are sold by Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart refuses to listen when we tell them how very personal this is with us because OUR children are being killed. Let us show them with the loss of our dollars that we will not shop there for ANYTHING until they stop providing the means for murder. No lines of protesters in the hot sun or in the cold.. Drop off a note saying why you are not shopping there any more.

  • College Tuition Should be Tax Deductible
Higher education is something that makes our country a better place to live. The more educated the population the better our country is in every way from advances in Medicine, Technology and even just day to day interactions. The idea that college tuition is not tax deductible is ridiculous. When thinking over why college tuition is not tax deductible I could only think of two reasons. 1 - The banks enjoy having our younger generations coming out of college in debt and already paying interest or 2- Our government really doesn't want an educated and informed population. I'm thinking number two is the reason and number one is a bonus for corporate America. But now it's time to make a difference. Now is the time for the average American family to stand up for what is right for our future generations. College tuition being tax deductible would change the landscape of the middle class by giving them a way to send American kids to college without it breaking their savings or having to take out a second mortgage on the family home. This money gets taxed twice, once from the people that are paying the tuition and again from the people getting paid from the tuition (The Professors). Let's do something about this today and get congress to pass a bill that will finally give the middle class some real relief by making college tuition tax deductible.

  • Protection of Food Stamps for the Poorest
While SNAP (ie Food Stamp) benefits are currently protected for Americans who start to receive Social Security retirement or disability checks, this only applies if the SNAP applicant already has some income to report...and people who are totally without an income but dependent on food stamps routinely get their benefits slashed, when they are finally awarded SS help. This is insane, it penalizes the poorest of our elderly & disabled. Hundreds of thousands of Americans are effected..why? Michelle Obama, one of America's strongest 'feed the poor' advocates is uniquely situated to influence the Department of Agriculture's policy that abuses Americans for being poor, let her know what you think.
