• Rebuild Adult Ed: K-12 & Designated Funding Stream / Reconstruir Educación para Adultos: K-12 y ...
Adult Ed has been serving California for over 150 years, helping parents, the unemployed, seniors, young adults, & immigrants gain the skills they need to contribute to California at full power. In the last five years, it's been cut to the bone. Now Gov. Brown wants to move it to the Community College system, away from the low-cost programs in K-12 systems. The move would cost money. And it would make it harder or impossible for some students to access it. Keep Adult Ed as it - but give it a stable budget (a designated funding stream). Rebuild Adult Education to Rebuild the State. Adult Education Matters!

  • END HEALTH CARE CRISIS IN TEXAS - EXPAND MEDICAID
Know the facts: 1. Texas has among the highest rates of uninsured nationwide, with 6.2 million individuals (approximately 25 percent) uninsured. Expanding Medicaid coverage would provide health care coverage to an additional 1.5 million Texans. 2. These funds are your tax dollars. If Texas declines the expansion, your tax dollars will go to other states like California and New York to treat their citizens.

  • Non custodial threats to remove a child w/o probable cause should be a crime
A threat of violence is punishable by law and so should the threat to remove a child from a custodial parent without cause.Freedom of speech is often abused and can lead to negligence and abuse of simple laws. Often these threats are deliberate and repetitive and often lead to abuse of law, its enforcement and many other departments that help the community to remain civil. I call for action on those that threaten to remove a child from a home without cause. The documented offense should be punishable at different levels of law according to how often and any other actions taken behind it. Lets protect our texas children

  • non custodial threats to remove a child from custodial parent without probable cause
my petition is about making a threat illegal. The same level of criminal punishment should be taken into consideration if it were a threat of violence. My petition is to instate laws against non custodial parents threatening to remove a child from a custodial parent without true cause. There should be levels of criminal charges according to how many documented offenses as well. In the end , im here for our texas children who are pulled from great custodial parents. They suffer the most behind the negligence of a non custodial parent abusing texas rights and laws.
