Same sex marriage should be allowed everywhere. Who are we to judge who gets married? Gays and lesbians don't judge who straight people marry so why care about who marries who? Shouldn't everyone be able to marry who they love?

The Electoral College takes away our rights as U.S. citizens to vote for our President. The President is not chosen directly by you, the voter, but instead, chosen indirectly by the Electoral College. The Electoral College is composed of "electors" who are chosen by each state based on their population to elect the President, and the truth is, NO ELECTOR IS FORCED TO VOTE ACCORDING TO THE STATE'S POPULAR VOTE!

Pigs are hard working animals. It is NOT justice to kill pigs for the meat, although you are allowed too. Would you like to be a pig? Just thank the world you are not a pig but don't you feel sorry for those high dreaming pigs, they could do something amazing with their life but instead we kill them for the meat, Don't you think we should at least honor the Pigs? Pigs kind of help us stay alive by giving us their life so we can live a happy one. Pigs deserve at least one free day without death. There is already a national pig day but the one that exsists is only celebrated in the Mid-West. Together we can start a petition and honor pigs for all they do for us, Every little signature counts!

I'm starting this petition because State of Washington has a law that a landlord can put you out for no reason at all and many are ending up homeless because their not given enough time to move.

1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be the victim of child sexual abuse (CSA) by their 18th birthday. There are more than 42 million survivors of CSA in the United States. 3 million of these survivors are still children. These children could fill 46 national football stadiums 93 percent of the time sexual abuse is caused by a person who is supposed to protect you - a person in a position of trust or authority. In almost every case, the only witnesses to this crime are the perpetrator and the victim. Perpetrators often tell the child this is a secret and no one will believe them. Children rarely report abuse immediately. Often, they feel the abuse was their fault. In these cases, delayed disclosure is the norm. Most victims never tell anyone until several years after the abuse, if they ever tell at all. The 4 states that passed this law already are IN IL MO MAINE

A student was denied admittance to Trident Technical College because he was undocumented. Trident stated that our state Immigration law disallowed his admittance, but Homeland Security has ruled these Dreamers are lawfully present and therefore our state law does not apply to these young people. It is important to clarify this legally to all our schools and allow these students in.

Law makers in Washington want to put marijuana retail stores in off the wall zoned areas as if they were selling a disease or prostitution. Marijuana should be treated as a commodity not some rare infectious disease. Make law makers respect marijuana smokers and their retail establishments.

Offshore accounts should be illegal, so that those who earn over $250,000 annually should pay US taxes & be held accountable. This would decrease the deficit substantially.

Millions of healthy pets are turned in to shelters yearly. Shelters should be forced to adopt these healthy animals instead of killing them. Fines should be imposed on those who surrender there pets and put on a list to not allowed to adopt again. There is no reason why these helpless dogs and cats that are healthy should be put down. Euthanasia should only be used if the quality of life is poor.

Young and developing students are in danger of not being promoted based on narrow and often inappropriate testing. Veteran teachers with masters degrees, decades of experience, and years of successfully teaching reading are being labeled "unqualified" because they do not hold the new and "out of the blue" required reading endorsement. Districts that can not follow these new restrictive laws will lose funding even further than last year's devastating cuts. And yet, tax money continues to be funneled into charter schools which are not held to the same standards. The authors of these laws failed to create a committee of licensed and professional educators so that knowledgable discussion and discourse can be part of the decision making. One can only conclude that the intent is to be destructive to public education.
