The FDA is poised to approve genetically engineered salmon for human consumption. We only have until April 26th to tell them no! This salmon would be the first-ever genetically engineered animal to sneak onto our dinner plates -- and it likely won’t be labeled! Please urge the FDA to conduct a full Environmental Impact Statement that considers the dangers genetically engineered salmon would pose to wild salmon and ocean ecosystems.

I believe that minimum wage should be increased from7.25 to 9.00. Fmilies are not able support their household on such an insufficient income. Please please consider the increase!

The Carver Recreation Center was and always has been a venue for the black community of Charlottesville to rent for private dances, social affairs, parties, wedding receptions, etc. These events could start as early as 4:00 PM or as late as 10:00 PM. Carver is housed in the historic Jefferson School, which at one time as the only all Black school in Charlottesville. It has been renovated, a small part preserved, but many new things have been added. i.e., Clinic, daycare, roller skating, new gym, etc. In doing this the hours were changed, they are 6:00-12:00 midnight. We would like to see the hours put back to what they have always been, enable to continue to accomodate a community that has lost so much, and never to be able to regain it.

Father's are increasingly being push out of children's live by mothers, with the help of family courts. The popular belief among most judges in the us family court system is that children are better off with mothers. Leaving most fathers to be treated like ATM machines. I am among the "dead beat father population" not by choice, but because I simply can not afford the amounts that my child support is set at. If you are serious about what you spoke of, when it comes to fathers in the USA, then you need to take a look at how fathers are being treated in the family cout system.

Sometimes, we elect statewide officials who have veered too far from their what they said in their campaign, who are incompetent, or have simply changed parties. We need to be able to recall elected offials at will after one year in office.

My daughter is disabled (so am I). She needs In-Home health care (a "growth industry" of mostly poor, mostly undereducated, mostly women) who are labeled "adult baby sitters". Training has been cut or is non-existent, few states require training or certification, workers don't even have to pass a health test to prepare meals for your loved one. Urge training, health certification, and bonding, for your loved one's safety and for the protection of the workers.

GMO ingredients, food & products as well as GE engineered fish have never been adequately tested and are harmful to our & our animals health. Even though GMO's have been used for approx 20 yrs in ingredients such as corn, soybeans & wheat products - they are harmful & have not been adequately tested to prove they are not. My rabbit, cats & dogs when given food with GMO products in them right next to non GMO products will choose the NON gmo food every time!

It looks like Obama's really dropped the ball this time. The sequester agreement that would've gone into effect on Jan.1st protected SS, Medicaid and Medicare from cuts. In the 11th hour, he signed a temporary fix with another sequester agreement going into effect on Mar.1st that does not(!?!)
