Let's delay fracking in New York State! Gas companies are not declaring what chemicals and dangers thereof being used in hydo-fracking process. Many of my associates are extremely opposed to such a process due to the above reasoning. Think about New York State and the horrors of chemical spills into our water supply. Your dad would not appove if you were to sanction hydro-fracking!!

Repealing the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP). I have worked 27 years in the Social Security System and am approaching 20 years in the OPERS System. Upon retiring I find that I will be penalized in the Social Security System and not allowed to draw my full benefit that I worked and pain into. Furthermore I will be penalized by 2/3 if I choose to draw on my deceased Husband 's benefit, who worked and paid into the system for over 40 years. Because I have been the supportive spouse and worked for a low wage, just worked so we could provide a college education for our children, my pension will be cut substantially and I hope not at poverty level. For years now there have been Senate and House bills introduced to repeal this law but they never make it to the floor to be voted on, simply because of the battle over Social Security. This law is unfair and should be repealed. Ohio is one of eight states with that law. Many others will be affected and don't realize it. To name a few, Teachers who have spouses that work in Social Security, Public Servant workers with spoused in the Social Security. This law should be brought to the floor of both the House and Senate and repealed.

OK, hunters and others who like guns, at least let's curb the unnecessary assault weapons from public use in order to protect our children.

I am asking that we have mandatory water testing of wells prior to connection to a home. In Oregon people have no protection under the clean water act if you are servicing under 10 people. Houses are rented while landlords are pulling water from streams. With the ground water and surfice water contamination and the natural high minerals that can cause health issues, we need to test before pumping contaminates into homes. My daughter and our family moved into my elderly parents home. They received a low income housing rehabilitation loan. the driller was in and out in a day, no flushing or tests. The water was so filthy you could not see your legs in a bathtub. My youngest began to experience stomich pains and gas. She contracted 3 protozoa. The health Dept tested water positive for total coliform. Thats where the walls came up. The regulating body for well construction OR Water Resource refused to hold contractor to the laws, EPA and DEQ had no authority nor seemed to care. We need protection under the law because without potable water, your home is a danger to your family. No one is watching the safety of the water.

Remember the movie with Jimmy Stewart where he filibustered for days trying to get the vote. Well Senators don't do that any more. They don't even have to be present to stop a bill. We the People need to know who is against what and Why...... It is time we require congress to explain who is holding up a bill and WHY... How can be be informed if the system is completely secret. Urging management of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) to promote safe paitent to medical provider staffing in its hospitals. To listen to the needs and concerns of medical professionals employed by them. So that paitents get the most value out of there stay. To reduce medical errors some which could be life threatening. To promote a safe enviroment for communitys to receive medical care.

I think it is time the American need to stand up and be counted. We are supposed to be a free society and yet we are afraid of everyone, our neighbor, teachers, and people walking down the street. We are afraid to go hiking, shopping, movies. We can be shot anywhere. We have no chose and yet the NRA says we have the right to bear arms. Claiming that the Constitution allows anyone be armed. This doesn’t happen in the rest of the world unless they are at war. Are we at war? Do we all need salute weapon in our home to protect ourselves? Are the Indians going to attack any time soon? It sounds pretty uncivilized when you put it into prospective. This is not 1776 we are not the people of that time. But even if we were they didn’t use weapons of mass destruction to protect their family. Since when is it against our rights when we have required the following for years. Birth Certificate anyone can find on line. Social Security Card. Driver’s license we have to prove who we are and if we can read and write. Insurance requires a driving record. Marriage license usually require blood test to see if we have some deceases. Passport request a back ground check. Most jobs do back ground checks. If you want to rent a house or get any credit, you need a credit report listing everything about you. If we really follow the law we would have to do away with all this. I cannot believe anyone would want to allow criminals or unstable people to walk around with military weaponries on the streets. This is a no brainer. We need to feel safe and be safe in our own community. Just look at the number killing we could stop in the gang wars if all guns were registered and a finger print was taken of every people owns a gun. We require figure prints for many jobs and no one calls that infringing on our rights. Doesn’t public and especial the children have any right to live. Why doesn’t England have this problem or France or Italy etc? Why not enforce the laws you have on the books now? Why are laws signed with expiration day? Why isn’t the law enforced in every state? Who is getting a kick back to allow unregistered guns on the street? I know money has to have something to do with not passing a law. My husband worded for the federal government 20 years ago designing one of the first data bases to track crime in the streets I know the systems are out there. This is just as important as “Home Land Security” it is “Home Land Security”. What are you going to do about it? If the law you create goes to the Supreme Court that is fine then it will be proven and satisfied that we are not infringing on gun owners’ rights any more than the right of living in a free society.

10 years ago my 21 year old son became a homicide victim in a still unsolved murder case. He was shot on the spot after witnessing a hold up. Our innocent children are losing their lives at each others hands.

The 3+ yr-old law requiring a 3rd party intermediary (Logisticare) for booking medical transport is nothing short of chaotic--even life-threatening--madness for Medicaid patients: An hr on phone, no guarantee of transportation (regardless of need),late or missed appts, side entrance trucks sent instead of requested rear entrance trucks, stretcher vans instead of wheelchair vans, left stranded at appt. site because wrong van sent for return trip and would not send another because "..it's too late and we require a min. 48-hr request..", etc., etc., etc. Scheduling medical appts through Logisticare has done nothing but cause mass confusion for everyone. IT DOES NOT WORK!!!

This about NYC Department of Education and Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg offering not JOB Protection for unionized members. ATU Local 1181 needs JOB Protection for safety of employees, children, and student, including passengers on Long Island Railroad, Metro-North Railroad, when some school bus are used for substitute shuttle buses.

On November 6, voters in 91 cities and towns across the Commonwealth voted in favor of the following non-binding public policy question by a 3 to 1 margin. The measure passed in every city and town in which it was on the ballot. The question called for our Congressional delegation to: 1. Prevent cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Veterans benefits, or to housing, food and unemployment assistance; 2. Create and protect jobs by investing in manufacturing, schools, housing, renewable energy, transportation and other public services; 3. Provide new revenues for these purposes and to reduce the long-term federal deficit by closing corporate tax loopholes, ending offshore tax havens, and raising taxes on incomes over $250,000; and 4. Redirect military spending to these domestic needs by reducing the military budget, ending the war in Afghanistan and bringing U.S. troops home safely now. I urge you to promote only budgetary policies that are in accord with the principles embedded in the aforementioned ballot question.
