The only effective solution to gun violence in the United States is a new amendment. Gun control laws have been impotent in curbing the violence for three primary reasons; 1) interpretation of the constitution limits implementation. 2) well intended laws have been subverted by the gun advocates.

My Husband worked all of his Life except for when he was out of work due to accidents. Both of us are Disabled! Governor Christie took $209.0odollars out of my husband's $530.00 check when he got into office. Not only did this happen to us but to people receiving SSI to make his budget. Congress may side with Florida and impose a tariff on Mexican vine-ripened tomatoes, which are far superior in freshness and taste to domestic tomatoes ripened off-the-vine. Tariffs will reduce quality, raise prices, and cost jobs.

It's a disservice to all taxpayers and to licensed tax preparers (EA, CPA, Tax Attorneys) not to have any regulation to ensure minimal competency in our tax practitioner community. Where the burden of proof is on the legal system. The police must must read the ares-tee's their rights. Law Enforcement can not entrap the public and they can not perform illegal searches and seizures. The Police and the legal system needs to know they work for the people to protect and serve

In the 2012 election, Democratic candidates for Congress received over 50% of the vote, but only got five of the eighteen seats. Several districts, including the one I live in, had landslide victories. Pennsylvanians deserve competitive elections, and fair elections. However, that will not be done unless party politics is taken out of redistricting.

Designating 1000 state jobs as "appointed positions" is a disastrous and purely partisan move. This is an increase from the 400 senior level managerial positions that were previously designated. This increase significantly changes the civil service of North Carolina into a patronage system and does damage to the professionalism and credibility of the state. This is a shameful abuse of power and deleterious not only to employees in the system but to the citizens whose tax dollars support these positions.
