Expectations of our lawmakers have been absent. They work for the People of the United States of America and no one else.

Many of those seeking employment in the current economy have have been unemployed or underemployed for some time. As a consequence their ability to meet financial obligations is impeded and their credit score suffers. Using an individuals credit score as a factor in determining whether or not to offer someone a job is unfair. A credit score has no bearing on an individual's ability to perform a job.

PNC bank mislead us about a hardship program in which we participated by telling us that we were eligible for a "special Obama program". Although we were eligible, they failed to tell us that they were not putting us into that program. Despite the fact that we always paid all the payments agreed upon, they have reported us as being delinquent on our mortgage. Now, they will not refinance our mortgage at the lower rates, and no other bank will either because PNC has reported us as delinquent on payments. PNC engages in MANY fraudulent practices. At a state or federal lever, permits should be required at a household level, not at the individual level. This can be accomplished by the creation of analytical model(s) used to rank households and individuals likelihood of being involved in gun violence in the future. It should be used for background checks for new gun permits at a household level (as opposed to individuals), and requirement for existing permit holders at a household level to be newly certified. The predictive model and score or range of likelihood should be a key factor for providing gun use and related permits.

All 4 of my children have experienced extreme prejudice and racism in the various districts that they've attended over the past 17 years. The State of Arizona is rampant with teachers who blatantly discriminate against black students and the various administrative/districts do nothing to reprimand staff hence the problem continues. I have been unsuccessful in fighting this fight alone as I have fought for mine along with other students while being a Substitute Teacher but am terminated for my advocacy. Please help me help the youth to be treated fairly as the Constitution reads and they recite daily, Thank you!

We demand our fair share of the pie just like every other good and honest citizen of this great country. Adjuncts are the engines and backbones of every college and university across this country. So why are all adjuncts being subjected to this kind of exploitation, being treated as the lows of the lows and also being degraded to second-class citizens? I ask my fellow adjuncts, full-time colleagues, and all members of our civilized society to say enough is enough. We demand fair wages and decent working conditions. I Read on yahoo that the department of transportation wants to tax americans for every mile we drive. That is preposterous we can't afford to pay more taxes and it takes away freedom. As Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) writes on The Hill's Congress Blog "Here is a stubbornly well-kept secret: the debt ceiling is arbitrary, doesn't affect the deficit, and serves no real function in keeping spending down. In addition, it has recently become a cudgel which extremist Republican legislators use to beat the rest of us into submitting to political blackmail." It is time to end this farce which has already resulted in the U.S. rating being downgraded unnecessarily in the previous negotiations. We need to deal with the real issue--job creation.

Agreement by both parties, Vice-President Joseph Biden, Representatives of the US Government, more importantly the NRA to meet ASAP; effective IMMEDIATE HALT on all sales, barter of Assault and repeating high- and low-velocity weapons. 2. Further, agree to commit to coherent framework and adherence on compromise of legislation of weapons control. 3. To make this palatable to the NRA, and the GOP, there is room for COMPROMISE. This is clearly a system that is broken! Too many voices and suggestions that are unworkable. Before another tragic shooting occurs. The NRA does not want this anymore than anyone else.

It is an idea to end the sale and possession of assault rifles.

A Public Option, granting every American the right to purchase an affordable and all-inclusive health care plan, will not only save thousands of lives, but will solve many of our economic problems. As a physician, I am acutely aware of the inability of our present for-profit system to ever provide quality, affordable health care. A choice must be given to the American people.
