In most bills that are passed, there are "pork barrel's" attached e.g "the road to nowhere", the airport in Pa. that's never used. Ultimately those are wasted tax dollars. Bills should be stand alone, with no attachments.

We the People demand a $12.00 per hour minimum wage. The current minimum wage amounts to economic enslavement. We will not be slaves of the top 2% any longer!

Superstorm Sandy victims are still out in the cold while GOP Congress plays the blame game and points fingers. We need a goverment that works for the people of this country and not for themselves and the wealthy lobbyist/interest groups. Natural Disasters are just that disasters, and people who are affected by disasters usually have to deal with loss of homes & property not to mention the loss of life of family & loved ones. Why should they be punished further by indifferent politicians lobbying for "unrelated special interests funds" that obstructs the speedy recovery efforts for disaster victims? Please sign my petition to ban politicians "PORK" from obstructing emergency help to disaster victims.

The proposed new rules would let one corporation in the top 20 media markets own a major newspaper, two television stations, and up to eight radio stations, and provide Internet service.What is particularly disturbing about FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski’s stealth attempt to change the rules is that the American people already have spoken out on this issue. In 2007 thousands turned out to public meetings and an astonishing 3 million Americans weighed in with comments. The bus stop waiting areas and stopping locations along State roads in Florida and elsewhere are appallingly unsafe. It is horrible to see people standing in the grass, in ditches, in the mud etc. Also, there are almost no bus pull outs and buses stop in the moving traffic lane on state roads where the speed limit is 45-55 mph. There have been numerous rear end collisions with buses. Every week across the US there are State road projects yet they are not making them safer for people who need to ride the bus. Everyone is in favor of more bus ridership and less private vehicles yet it is extremely dangerous and unsafe to get on and off the bus on most state roads.

Recently Roosevelt was renamed the Early College High School. This petition is to urge the Board of Education to preserve the iconic name by renaming the school to Roosevelt Early College High School

Too much water in one place should be sent to where it is needed as an economic engine. Send the annual flood waters of the lower Mississippi River to the midwest for a sustainable bread basket and eliminate the annual fisheries Gulf of Mexico dead zone and property destruction in the South.

Before congress starts discussions on "overhauling" the social security and medicare plans they should be required to first start with reducing their pension and healthcare plans.
