Petition To DestroyI think it ridiculous that I must sign petitions if I don't want "so and so" removing mountaintops, drilling in the Arctic or if I want protection for a certain species or region... etc. This system is backwards! For example, Big Oil should be required to submit millions of signatures of people saying, "Go ahead- drill in Alaska, pollute waterways, destroy the polar bears' natural habitat."3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Daniel Sylvester

Piers Morgan deserves the Presidential Medal of FreedomRecently, Piers Morgan drew the wrath of the American gun lobby. During an interview of Larry Pratt, director of Gun Owners of America, Morgan told Mr. Pratt that he was "a dangerous man". Mr. Pratt had just explained to Piers Morgan that the solution to gun violence in America is more guns. Mr. Morgan He went further by informing Mr. Pratt: "You're a very stupid man, aren't you? "You have absolutely no coherent argument. You don't actually give a damn about the gun murder rate in America." Because he said these things, the gun lobby wants him deported. Because he is the only public person in the United States with the courage to stand up to the gun lobby, we think he should receive the Nation's highest Civilian Honor.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard Ponsetto, Jr., Esq.

Repeal G.W. Bush's Lawful Commerce in Arms ActDemand Congress Strip Gun Manufacturers, Distributers of immunity for deaths and injuries resulting from semiautomatic weapons. Bush's law protects profit in the gun trade over victim's rights. Countless future deaths resulting from semiautomatic weapons are foreeable unless we act now.190 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Leslie Minniti

Abolish the Electoral College.Since our country has experienced elections in which the victorious candidate has lost the popular vote and yet won the Electoral College, it seems that the voice of the majority of Americans is not heard. Most recently, in 2000, Vice Priesident Albert Gore was denied the presidency in such a manner. Few would disagree that our country would be far better had he been elected. The Electoral College seems to favor the least populous (red) states, and it is time to show the world that we are a true democracy by simply doing away with this antiquated system. . 8016691626931 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard Cox

President Obama and Congress: Stimulate the Economy by Eliminating Federal Student Loan DebtGrowing up in the 1990s, I was an over-acheiver - same as hundreds of thousands of other Americans who worked hard to attain an advanced degree. I took out federal loans without batting an eyelash because there was no other way to pay for my public university education. Now, more than a decade after earning my BA, I am saddled with crushing student loan debt. As 30-somethings, we can stimulate the economy if our debt was eliminated or lessened. We could buy houses, have weddings, go on vacation, make investments, start businesses, and have children. Right now, we are drowning in a sea of endless payments that make those dreams hard to reach.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by AFT

Time for democracy. It's time for real democracy in America. People need to hear the voices of candidates that don't simply represent corporate party "A" or "B ." All legitimate candidates for president need to be given a real forum to express their views so that a wider dialog about national issues can be heard.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by matt malpass

Remove the cap on income subject to the social security taxThe President and Congress are considering changing the cost of living adjustment (COLA) used to determine benefits. The change will gradually reduce the benefit a little bit each year. For myself the effect will be small, but for my children and grandchildren, it will not. I've read that the system would remain solvent for another 75 years if the cap on income subject to the tax, now at $100,100, were to be removed. The media don't mention this, so the COLA reduction is the only game in town. Here is a good alternative.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter C. Kahn

Supreme Court: Stand with us for Marriage EqualityWe struggle from city to city, state to state and watch our fellow LGBT family members, friends, co-workers and neighbors continue getting pushed to the back of the bus when it comes to our rights as promised in the Constitution and yet personal beliefs, instead of what is right, lead the conversations and actions regarding marriage equality for all Americans. We petition you now to correct too many years of second class citizenship and make all relationships between two consenting adults equal in the eyes of the law of the land. Every American’s relationship deserves the same rights and responsibilities. Every American’s relationship deserves the same treatment from the government we all elect and in the laws we all follow.228 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Kelly Rivera Hart
