There are thousands of federal employees and military personnel who are paid with federal tax dollars but who are delinquent in reporting their income on annual federal tax returns and in paying their fair share of taxes. Many of them neglect to resolve their own tax situations and in setting the proper example as public servants. These people should not be deserving of paychecks that are funded by federal tax dollars if they are not willing to report and pay their fair share.

I am outraged at the senseless killing of innocents , and by the killing machines in the hands of almost anyone these days. Nobody but law enforcement should have use of assault weapons.

Each year, it appears that bullying, and bullycide are becoming an epidemic amongst our children nationwide. It saddens my soul to hear about children taking their own lives as a result of being bullied. Their peers who are pushing them to this point are going along as they please, free to cause havoc to another child's life. Bullying should not be tolerated in schools, on social sites, and nowhere else. Our children should feel comfortable in school. It shouldn't be a place they dread going. I know people who have been affected by bullying, and I am affected indirectly every time I see or hear that a child has been tortured by his/her peers. In my opinion, it should be a crime punishable by law just as is rape, murder, drug dealing, or any other crime. Our nation should band together and stand against bullying of any kind. It would cut down on some of the other senseless crimes that have happened such as students who have been bullied at some point taking it out on other innocent victims.

We need to reframe the debate about gun control. Every mother and father in America needs to stand up and say gun control laws need to protect our children, not " interest groups".

As a city resident the delay in response time vs. the $2000 savings Jon Arnold, Police Sgt. was quoted saying, is not worth the lives or homes that stand a loss because of the delay in dispatching. The citizens of Sandy, Utah are worth more than this savings.

I'm going to start a campaign, movement, whatever it takes, and we're going to go after the guns. Americans don't need handguns and we don't need assault weapons, and clearly the system we have today doesn't work. Twenty kindergarten children were murdered today; an entire classroom full of six and seven year olds. The shooter reportedly used two 9mm handguns, one made by Glock and the other by Sig Sauer, and an AR-15-type rifle also was found at the scene. Spare me the whining about your Second Amendment rights, I don’t want to hear it, and I don’t think the twenty sets of parents, or the forty sets of grandparents care one whit about your right to own an AK47, AR15 or semi-automatic pistol; while you’re screaming about your precious gun rights, stop and think about the erased rights of those 20 children to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. Their blood and their futures is too high a price for your right to go “target shooting”, to “collect” weapons, or to prepare for whatever post apocalyptic future you’ve dreamed up in your foil encrusted head. As a teacher for 21 years I am brokenhearted for the kids and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. We are loosing too many lives due to LACK of SECURITY. Its time to take ACTION to protect our children and their teachers.
