Please support my petition for comprehensive universal healthcare for ALL Oregon (HCAO). HCAO is an issue that we all should be concerned about because most of us represent the 99%, and we are only one severe accident or illness away from needing affordable, quality, and accessible healthcare services. Therefore, the purpose of this petition is to garner public support for universal publicly funded healthcare throughout the state of Oregon and eventually the entire United States. All residing Oregonians deserve equitable access to quality healthcare services designed to meet all our needs. I am speaking from first hand experience. I am in dire need of healthcare services. However, I am over the age of 50, I have no children under the age of 18, and I am not working 20 hours per week. Because of these criteria, I like many others, am shut off from the Oregon Health Plan. Even if I were determined eligible by the current lottery process, which is unfair, Oregon health plan does not cover certain health conditions and or treatments. I believe every human being deserves comprehensive healthcare. Therefore, a comprehensive, universal, publicly funded healthcare reimbursement system would provide for complete coverage and treatment for the common good of all. The petition is about bargaining "entitlement reform" for ending the Bush Tax Cuts. As someone who has benefited from the cuts for incomes over $250,000, and who expects to benefit from both Social Security and Medicare, I have a interest from both sides of the equasion.

Grover Norquist is threatening to attack elected officials that signed his pledge. Norquist is not an elected official and should not be dictating public policy. It is time for US all to stand up to him and all those that continue to hold back our economy.

I found a lost dog at my door. Not one person looked for this dog. It was a little PUG. I brought the dog to the Vet. because I noticed something wrong with its eye and back legs. The vet. scanned the dog and it had a chip. I brought the dog back to the owner and explained that if they did not want the dog to call me. I found out that the owners had a total of 3 dogs. One of which the dog control officer picked up and was very malnurished. The dog I found was half its body weight. The owner let the PUG go again only to be killed by a neighbors horse 3days after the dog was returned to them. There is still a dog in that house not being properly cared for and the dog control officer said he can't ask to see the dog. We need laws with heavy penalties for animal abuse. We have repeat offenders because they don't get a good sentence.

Recently, a bridge in Pickens County, dropped twelve inches and a section of that highway (Hwy 18) had to be closed. It's been estimated that it will take until Spring for the bridge to be replaced. All our bridges in South Carolina need to be inspected, repaired and/or replaced. Most are an accident waiting to happen.

For 20 years, Grover Norquist and his Political Action Committee "Americans for Tax Reform" have been forcing our elected officials to sign a 'no new taxes pledge'. This man is almost single-handedly responsible for the tax deadlock in Congress, a deadlock that needs to be broken so that our economy doesn't implode. It's time to tell Mr. Norquist what the public thinks - that the country's economic well-being comes first, and that our elected officials are to answer to their constituents, NOT a self-appointed "Tax Czar" with no elected position and no writ charter of authority from the duly-franchised electorate of this country.

US citizens face by 12/31/20012 “The Fiscal Cliff.” As such, we must begin to look inward in saving monies, reduce cost and improve tax revenue waist. With that said, we can begin with a double independent bipartisan audit on tax revenues received & spent across (ALL) government agencies, Congress, Defense, Social Security, IRS, Medicare, National Defense, Education, and so on. A double audit would be preformed to identify government fiscal waist. This would establish a fiscal baseline to move forward & begin fiscal adjustments needed to reduce government debt and improve tax revenue expenditures for "WE THE PEOPLE" of the Unites States of America.

Restoring our election processes to the voting age citizens. We the People are tired of having big spenders swamp the airwaves with negative nonsense.

Increase taxes on $250,000 and above! Just like the POTUS campaigned on! Elections have consequences!

Ninety percent of my mail goes straight into the garbage can. We all get multiple ads for products we don't want and endless solicitations from charities. Also, a friend whose wife died 18 years ago still gets hundreds of solicitations for her, despite written requests to remove her name. We need a law to stop this. It would save many trees and decrease the landfills on our planet. We could also be more sure the money we donate to charities is not thrown away.
