I am on SSI due to cancer and don't have access to food that much and have a limited budget. I spoke to Seniors and other disabled people and their concern is getting access to the food stamp programs for food.

In the next 4 years, any nomination by President Obama to the Supreme Court can be rejected by the filibuster of a couple of Senators. Control of such decisions by a minority is anti-democratic and should be rejected. We ask the Senate to reject the filibuster as a legal maneuver in the rules of the Senate.

Many of the most profitable CORPORATIONS PAY NO TAXES, while receiving huge TAX REBATES and SUBSIDIES and making POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS to lobby for even more tax benefits for themselves! We demand a minimum corporate income tax rate be imposed to balance the national deficit.

When Govenor Crist was Govenor, he passed a law to return civil rights to people automatically when they completed thier sentance for whatever offense that they violated. When Scott became Gov. he changed it to a 5 year waiting period and then you still have to apply for the return of your rights. I made it in when Crist was still in office and that was the only reason that I was able to vote this year. Once a person does thier time they should not be further punished. It affects not just your rite to vote but to get a bisness license and many other areas of your life. Once you do your time you should have the rite to rejoin society and be a product member of that society.

Under the current system some people lucky enough to still have savings and investments after the WallStreet disaster pay a much lower tax rate than people who work pay on their wages.

I am 84 and live on social security which i earned in my long work life, and medicare. Should those be changed in any way that denies me the excellent care I get now, I would lose my senior apartment, neighborhood, and health care. I would not be able to live in the U.S. And haven't the $$ to move somewhere else. So I have some ideas.

Ohio: Speed Trap Village Runs Illegal Court Brice, Ohio has canceled court hearings over concern the speed trap village violated the law. The mayor of Brice, Ohio has canceled mayor's court hearings until further notice after lawmakers insisted that the village was in violation of a 2003 statute designed to prevent speed traps. In Ohio, 333 towns use mayor's courts to process traffic tickets and minor infractions with the mayor able both to decide guilt or innocence in individual cases and to decide how to spend the fine money that is collected. Ohio's top ten most successful mayors together brought in $2.3 million for their budget in 2004 with this system. Louisiana is the only other state to use mayor's courts. Brice raised 40 percent of the village budget by issuing tickets at a rate of 7.6 citations per resident. Ohio law says that no village of less than 100 residents, as defined by U.S. census figures, may operate a mayor's court. Brice has 70 residents. Lawmakers are now considering raising the minimum figure. Bring an end to the village of Brice, Ohio for being a speedtrap.

When my husband died, my daughter and I made up a poster-size tribute to him, including pictures and many craft materials from Michael's. We dropped off the tribute to Michael's for framing and paid the framing cost in advance. Sixteen days after my husband died, I fell and broke my back, ribs, etc. Although I received calls from Michael's reminding me of the "tribute" I needed to pick up while at the hospitals and the nursing home, they never told me they would throw the tribute away. I opened an envelope that told me that in front of the manager of the local Michael's AFTER I'd gone in to pick it up. I wanted to PROVE to him that I'd never received this notification. They refunded me the cost of the framing (but not the materials I'd bought there, the photos, the poster, or anything else), and told me it is corporate policy to discard materials not picked up after a period of time, even if they are prepaid, and even if their paperwork says it is a "tribute" so they know loss is involved.

Time Warner Cable getting rich off of regular citizens. Charging For the service and a modem that the customer already has. We as the people that are possibly paying for this service need to let our voices be heard.

We need to get back the lost buying power that we had in 1975. This would be a terrific stimulus to our economy, and might even help some Wal-Mart employees get off food stamps.

Senator McCain is not helping the United States. His irrational behavior is damaging our reputation in the world.
