The President and Congress are talking about lowering the COLA, Cost of Living Adjustment of Social Security recipients who are retired or disabled. This reduction would be very hurtful as the formula they would adapt would eventually reduce the benefit so much as to be nonexistent. I am on Social Security disability for severe, chronic migraine headaches. I rely on this cost of living benefit each year. Without it I would not be able to keep my head above water. We need to speak up so that this benefit for the elderly, disabled and poor among us do not do the suffering while the rich just get richer.

"Obama Care" was a step in the right direction.But I believe it would have been recieved a lot better if the public already had an educated notion about the human costs of limited healthcare.I can name individuals off the top of my head that have died,in one way or another,because of their lack of insurance,so why not publicize these cases and bring a more human face to this unfair system.

To help balance our budget: Stop the Wars; pull our troops out of every country and stop meddling in their problems. Stop the insane "war on drugs" especially marijuana to start with. Stop giving my money to other countries, businesses, green projects, or organizations. If they cannot succeed on their own merits, then they should fail.

Gays and Lesbians should not be denied marriage certificates under state law when legislation created provides for this right.

I propose that the federal government lower the people per representative in the House of Representatives by expanding the number of representatives and make the House more accurately representative of the people. Back in the beginning of the Republic, the House had a case of less than 50,000 people per representative. Now each representative has over 600,000 people to serve. So I propose that We, the People enlarge the House to make it more representative of the People.

my petition is about Twitter censoring accounts we have freedom of speech. This is not right stand with us to stop the censoring of Twitter.

There would be no campaigning of or for this President while he/she was in office. Campaigning would not take the President away from their duties as President. One 6 year term would give each President more time to accomplish their goals for our country.

The uber wealthy are the ones responsible, as always, for the depression we the people are suffering through. But it is always we the people who are asked to bail out the perpetrators. Enough, goddamnit! Keep your filthy hands off medicaid, medicare and social security. None of these are entitlements--taxpayers paid for them with their hard won labors--while the uber wealthy were profiting off illegal wars, untaxed off shore accounts and capital gains at 15%. As an American Citizen it is time to reign in Congress. We are tired of them not looking out for us and only being concerned with their special interests. We, the undersigned, demand action on the Congressional Reform Act of 2012. It is now time for Congress to act on our behalf.

We, as American citizens, want a change in Congress's benefit program. 1. They should not decide their own raises. 2. They should retire with only social security, like their constituents. 3. They should accept medicare or Obamacare for medical insurance. They need to live and manage the way we are forced to, and be considerate of the people who elect them.

The Cihak family of Barnesville, Minnesota, are faithful Roman Catholics who raised their son Lennon in the church. Last month, 17-year-old Lennon was preparing to make his confirmation when the family's parish priest found out that Lennon had posted a photo on Facebook opposing an anti-gay ballot measure. When Lennon refused to recant his support for marriage equality, the priest refused to confirm him and began denying Holy Communion to the entire Cihak family. With this story making national news, we have an opportunity to shine a spotlight on how right-wing extremism is hurting the church. Let's show the local bishop that we're standing with the Cihak family and demand that he stop priests in his diocese from using holy sacraments as political weapons.
