Why is it that our elected Congressmen and women and Senators feel that they should sign a pledge to a non-elected leader of a lobbying group? Isn't it time they realized that their pledge is to do the people's business - NOT Grover Norquist's?

With the recent reelection of President Obama, this is the time to push for the passage of a federal Dream Act. The persecution of skilled, intelligent and law-abiding undocumented Americans is wasteful, cruel and has no benefit for our country. If President Obama makes the effort and suggests a Dream Act to the legislature, the current political climate makes its passage likely. The Democrats want to pass a Dream Act, and the Republicans cannot afford to make their demographic voting issues any worse with American Hispanics.

Florida Sunpass system is a very unfair toll system. The bill your tag and if you don't get the notice in time you receive a uniform traffic citation and your drivers license get suspended. Also the traffic citation is considered a moving violation. This is also very unfair because a lot of citizens lost their jobs as toll collectors.

The playing field must be leveled in order for all candidates to have equal "opportunity" in national elections! The cap on candidate spending will stop the WEALTHY and SUPER PACS from "buying" the national elections.

Our national debt is mounting and we are all being asked to reduce our debt. Congress and Senate will never understand our struggles for healthcare and its costs as long as we pay for them to have free lifetime benefits after serving only five years. Therefore, one way to reduce spending and cut costs is to remove the "lifetime" free benefits that both the Senate and Congress get after serving a mere 5 years. It's not reasonable, no other jobs get benefits for healthcare or retirement years after they leave a job, nor do they get them for free.

Papa John's CEO John Schnatter Says Company Will Reduce Workers' Hours In Response To Obamacare. He does not have to worry about his health care plan at his income level. It's time Papa John's CEO did the right thing and provide health care to the people that are helping him make his fortune. Take a stand for the workers and boycott Papa John's unless they stop mistreating their workers by decreasing their hours.

Minnesota voters soundly rejected an attempt to write a ban on same-sex marriage into the Minnesota Constitution. It's time for marriage equality for all Minnesotans.

I am starting this petition because our President Obama met with other groups to hear, what there agenda their group need his assistance with, durning his !st term he didnt, wouldnt meet with the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). he sent the Vice President to the meeting. We showed our support for his dream to make our dream come true, now we are asking that President Obama show respect and concern with the Black Agenda and meet with the .NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People).

I was the artist that lived in the Los Angeles Arts District for 30 years and was unfortunately next door to Joseph Pitruzzelli's business, Wurstkuche Restaurant when they arrived in 2009. Joseph Pitruzzelli leased the AIR loft next to my studio and began to illegally use it as a commercial warehouse for his restaurant next door. I sued Joseph Pitruzzelli for that illegal commercial use of an Artist in Residence and I won. But Joseph Pitruzzelli refused to stop his commercial use of that legal Artist's loft. He turned it into a 24 hour nightmare for any artist actually trying to live and work there. Joseph Pitruzzelli would not stop his illegal use and had the case appealed because I sued him personally and didn't sue him as his republican corporation, Wilson, Pitruzzelli Investments, LLC. The city of Los Angeles cited Joseph Pitruzzelli's business for the illegal use of that AIR loft as well as Paul Solomon, the owner of my building. But rather then do the right thing and be the least bit considerate to his artist neighbors, Joseph Pitruzzelli refused to stop his illegal use, at which point I was forced to fight my landlord who was also cited by The City of Los Angeles for Joseph Pitruzzelli's illegal use of that legal AIR loft next to me as a 24 hour noisy commercial nightmare. That was my home and my studio for year before Joseph Pitruzzelli showed up and disrupted the arts district with no regard what so ever for the actual artist trying to live and work there. Having Joseph Pitruzzelli as LARABA's president is total hypocrisy. I ended up leaving the arts district because of this on going and growing nightmare Joseph Pitruzzelli and his partner Tyler Wilson brought to the Los Angeles Arts District. And his illegal commercial use of that loft in the heart of the LA Arts District continues to this day. Joseph Pitruzzelli's business has no permits to use that loft commercially. But he still does not care because he has chased the artist around him away. This man should not be the president of any artist association. LARABA must fire Joseph Pitruzzelli. Hypocrisy is not leadership.

In the next few weeks, our government--The President and Congress--must make decisions to head-off fiscal irresponsibility. Congress must act in good-faith with the President to "compromise" with action and not just lip service. If they cannot rise to the occasion to serve the needs of the people, they should give up their "seat" and paycheck and go home. They work for us and we want them to solve our problems--for everyone.
