Senate Joint Resolution 41 was passed 90-1 on September 22, 2012. It is astonishing that it is not being covered in the media, and that it also had 83 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisle, introduced by Lindsay Graham, Bob Casey and Joe Lieberman. It has been referred to the House Committee on Foreign Relations. We would like a hearing on this matter. Please contact your CongressPerson and tell them to vote NO.

The majority of the electorate has given the President a mandate to eliminate tax cuts for the rich and not cut entitlements. The deficit cannot be cut without more revenue. Austerity alone will not work. He must not cave to Congressional Republicans or sell out to the Third Way.

Fracking is risky business at best and dangerous to the populous in the extreme at its worst. Fracking is a disaster waiting to happen. Decaying mantle, polluted waterways, contaminated drinking water, and caustic infringement on pristine natural areas are some of the consequences and costs to the environment and human lives of fracking. The science is not in yet and the benefits, both in terms of energy savings and job creation are still claims not evidenced or demonstated. We urge Pat McCrory to lead on this issue and show us that he cannot be bought by industry interests.

The War on Drugs should end NOW because: 1. It's ineffective 2. It's expensive 3. It's our government telling us to go to jail if we ingest a product that has a negative effect on our health. 4. If number 3 can be justified, we should bring back prohibition and outlaw sugar and cigarettes.

Even the founders believed in term limits as evidenced by George Washington's decision not to seek a third term. Historians suggest this was done in a bulwark against development of a monarchy in spite of his farewell speech's mention of age. Jefferson wrote that "if some termination to the services of the chief Magistrate be not fixed by the Constitution, or supplied by practice, his office, nominally four years, will in fact become for life." The founders realized that there was a risky temptation for the position to be manipulated into self-serving motives.

The 2012 election will be remembered as one whereby facts were tossed to the wind. As an American my most treasured right is the right to cast a vote and if we depend on the media to assist us in making such an important decision and the media “KNOWINGLY” promotes people who “KNOWINGLY” spread lies, rumors and innuendos it’s time for a change. At the pace we are going can you imagine what the election of 2016 will be like? It’s time for NBC to break all ties to both Donald Trump and Trump Enterprises.

Jon Rappoport, investigative journalist, states that OVER A MILLION votes on Prop 37 (the GMO labelling initiative) in CA have gone uncounted to date. Since the margin of "victory" is about 600,000 votes, this means Prop 37 could actually have passed. If we want to do something about this, NOW is the time. This petition seeks ACTION by the CA Secretary of State to count ALL the votes cast on Prop 37. If you cast a vote on Prop 37, make sure it gets counted by signing this petition, requiring the CA Secretary of State to do her job. *** A little background: On November 8, two days after the election, Jon Rappoport found that many votes in California remain uncounted. He decided to try and find out just how many, and contacted the Secretary of State of CA, responsible for elections in the state, who apparently doesn't know. He was informed that all counties in California have been asked, but not ordered, to report in those figures, but it is apparently voluntary. So Rappoport decided to pick the largest counties and called their voter registrar offices and these are the results he obtained: Santa Clara County: 180,000 votes remain uncounted. Orange County: 241,336 votes remain uncounted. San Diego County: 475,000 votes remain uncounted. LA County: 782,658 votes remain uncounted. In other words, in just those four counties, 1.6 million votes remain uncounted. This is an effort to honor one of Moab's very first settlers, William Grandstaff, by changing the name of Negro Bill Canyon to Grandstaff Canyon. The use of the moniker "negro" is offensive to many people, creating embarrassment for our community. His name should be spelled correctly and his story told, including this unique individual's contribution to history as well as his race.

Macy's in the San Diego area has a very low count of African American employees and doesn't plan on hiring any. Sounds like discrimination to me.
