I find it obscene that individuals that are supposed to be legislating for our country's best interests are not required to abide by the financial constraints that we, the people, are expected to accept. They should be required to live with social security and medicare benefits that are legislated for the rest of the country.

Every day NYC public schools use and discard 850,000 Styrofoam trays for school meals. That's a stack of trays over 2 miles high that goes in to our landfills, every single day! Besides the huge impact that this has on the environment, we are exposing our children to toxins from the trays when we place their food directly on it. Mayor Bloomberg has publicly declared his commitment to green policies and our environment and once said, "All our children deserve a healthy start in life. Many people call that environmental justice; I simply call it the right thing to do." I know that with parents, teachers, and DOE staff working together, we can affect change to an environmentally responsible and economically feasible solution. I am appealing to Mayor Bloomberg to become personally involved in making this change, As mayor, he has the authority and influence to find a workable solution in a much smaller timeframe than a grassroots organization of parents and teachers. Mayor Bloomberg, do the right thing for our environment and our children: stop using Styrofoam trays in NYC schools and replace them with an environmentally friendly alternative.

We are on the edge of a cliff and Congress and Senate are spending their time posturing instead of actively trying to work with each other on financial and social issues. The people of America want the Congress and Senate to work together...it has happened before! We want them to stop polarizing our country with fear and hatred. It has affected every person in this country.

With Timothy Geithner's imminent departure, President Obama has an opportunity to begin to rectify one of his most egregious derelictions, the seamless implementation of the Bush bank bailout and retention of the Summers-Geithner-Bernanke financial crowd. He can nominate William Black for Treasury Secretary. During the Reagan administration, William Black was one of the principle investigators of the savings and loan scandal. Approximately 1200 indictments resulted from these investigations. His book The Best Way to Rob a Bank is to Own One: How Corporate Executives and Politicians Looted the S&L Industry, University of Texas at Austin Press (April 2005) shows clear understanding of the causes of our various financial debacles. Obama's biggest campaign contributors have been the financial industry. Hopefully, he will sever this compromising relationship and end his presidency with integrity.

Papa John's is declaring "Obamacare" too expensive, so owner, John Schnatter, who's personal net worth is $600 million, has decided to cut the hours of employees to below the 30 hour threshold to keep them ineligible for healthcare benefits. The cost is estimated at $0.15/per pizza to the company that makes $1.22 Billion in annual revenues (Health care would be 0.006% of their revenues, or approximately $8 million) Meanwhile, Papa John's is able to give away $2 million pizzas, retail value at $20 million. This petition was created to bring to light the violation of the Oath of Office all obstructionists committed when they fought against all of Obama's administrations appointments and bills. The oath of office all Representatives take is as follows: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." Any GOP member or Tea Party Republican who entered into office and publicly declared their primary mission was to stop Obama's administration is in direct violation of their oaths, as they purposefully entered into office with, "mental reservation (and/)or purpose of evasion." By violating their oaths, they have given up their rights to represent the people of their respective states and should be immediately ejected from office, without benefits or pay.

To put more money in the polititions hands, California State has imposed a new Fire Prevention Fee (NOT A TAX, THET SAY) upon habitable stuctures or parcels in what they call the responsibility areas. These fees (or really taxes) go up to $150.00 per year. I live in a 3 bedroom house and just paid $115.00 for this bogus tax. I am outraged. Jerry Brown approved this. I want to protest this effort to further strap the public for our government's failure to control their spending. I am calling upon our legislature to overturn this fee.

Arkansas County Judge William Adams beat his 16 year old daughter, which was taped by his daughter. He has now returned to to the bench. He did not think he did anything wrong. Help show our youth he was wrong and abuse of anyone will not be tolerated!

Senator Mitch McConnell, having failed to complete an agenda which would be considered treasonous under any other system, had dishonored his fellow party members in the Senate, having therefore lost all credibility as their leader. This petition seeks his removal as Minority Leader in that hallowed chamber.

A piece on NPR predicted that President Obama is likely to approve the pipeline in the name of energy security and perhaps jobs. Given the energy savings projected from vehicle MPG savings, this is exactly the wrong message to send to the American people and the world.
