Before we go off the fiscal cliff, I have a simple solution to this divisive issue.

The petition is for President Obama to push for the Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012 which will help the economy for reducing the financial stress the student loans have created in this country. This bill is truly a piece of non-partisian legislation that representatives from both parties have agreed would work. Personally after chipping away at student loans from NYU for the last 15 years, I'm ready to be done, I've paid my dues. With that money freed up, I could re-invest more into my business to help it grow.

Today, 3.9 million felons and ex-felons are unable to vote in the United States. The number of total disenfranchised individuals represents 2.3% of the total adult population, which, if eligible to vote, could affect election outcomes. The right to vote is one of the most important rights in the United States and these laws should be repealed. Everyone deserves a voice, even those who have made a mistake!

I urge you to support, SENATE BILL No. 102, to MODIFY OR OPT OUT of the Federal Ban on temporary assistance for needy families (TANF) AND FOOD STAMPS for individuals with drug convictions.

Energy Fuels Inc. want to mine uranium in the Paradox Valley. This is the first uranium mill to be built in the United States in more than 25 years. Uranium is a volatile element, as it reacts with almost all nonmetallic elements. It has been known to cause lung cancer. I live here, with my family. We live on the Paradox Trail, a clean, unfettered, lovely place in the high desert of Colorado. Wildlife is abundant. We need to maintain our area, as it is. We need to stop Energy Fuels Inc. from mining our land and making it unstable and unsafe.

Help us stop junk mail!! It is a waste of so many resources- trees, ink, paper, time, energy... Let's get the post office to give us an "opt-out" option.

Hydraulic fracturing (a.k.a. "fracking") poses a risk to the air and water quality in nearly every community in North America. With each fully utilized gas well, some 360,000 billion gallons of over 600 different types chemicals, including known carcinogens and toxins, are injected deep into the ground. It is believed that these chemicals have leaked into the groundwater of certain communities, and has irreversibly contaminated the well-water, ponds, and habitats within those regions. Methane gas concentrations are 17x higher in drinking-water wells near fracturing sites than in normal wells. There have been over 1,000 documented cases of water contamination next to areas of gas drilling as well as cases of sensory, respiratory, and neurological damage due to ingested contaminated water. In spite of all of these chilling facts, Maryland has still not banned "fracking" entirely. We must let our state legislators know that the short-term profits of some large energy companies are not more important than the long-term health of us Marylanders. Mr. Romney continues to lie about & disrespect the President. But he also continues to INSULT THE VALUE OF THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS. Bottom line, he has invalidated the worth of any of his opinions.

To facilitate raising taxes on the super-rich we should add three new income tax brackets with higher rates set at to $1million, $10million and $100million annual income levels. Currently we tax $100,000,000+ earners with the same tax rate as $250,000 earners which makes raising taxes on the super-high earners difficult.

Adding more insult to injury, families living in the devastation of the Hurriblizzard of 2012 are now receiving notices from their homeowners insurance companies that they will be dropped from the policy. The NE has been hit hard in the past 3 years, a violent Nor'easter, Hurricane Irene, and now Sandy with the topper a blizzard. The insurance companies must be stopped from dropping people in the hour of their greatest need.
