Don't let the Republican Party play games with the fiscal cliff. Work with the President to solve this problem. Do not keep saying No to every idea that is presented.

For people in the NY, NJ area directly impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy it has been next to impossible to obtain gasoline to run their cars or power their generators. People are unable to get to work, take their children to school, check up on elderly family members, or have access to light and heat via the use of a generator. Residents of these areas are being forced to wait in line for hours on end (one report tells of a man who waited almost 30 hours!!!) It's about time that the big companies such as Shell, BP, Exxon/Mobil, etc. give back to the communities that continually provide them record making profits in the BILLIONS!! Let's ask them to set up temporary filling stations and DONATE GAS so that people can have much needed access to gasoline and put those savings into rebuilding their homes and families that were destroyed by this natural disaster

The Bush tax cuts are repealed as of 1/1/13. I want the President to know that I make well under 250k, but I am willing to risk a tax increase in order that the President hold the line past January 1st to insure that the tax increase on those over 250K take effect. The House Republicans will offer the elimination of tax breaks, but those will get diluted by the lobbyists and will come back to life as an add-on to an essential budget bill.

The Republicans have succeeded by just threatening to filibuster. Please force them to actually filibuster so their destructive behavior will be more visible

Malala, a fourteen years old girl was ambushed and shot by a group of Taliban in Swat, Pakistan on October 9th. . She was being punished for speaking out for women's right for education. She highlights the need for education for girls we well as stubborness on the part of uneducated Taliban Mafia. As Taliban nuisance is alive and well in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They are entrenched in Pakistan's area called FATA and are everywhere else as well. The question is as to how to combat their determination to take the nation back in to the dark ages. I strongly believe that the answer is in education, just like it brought Europe out of the dark ages.... Education not just for the common folks only but also for the children of these Taliban so they do not grow up like their fathers. This is the most cost effective way to prevent the continuance of the menace of ignorance. What happens there affects us directly. The treatment of ignorance is costing us billions of dollars a month. The prevention will cost us just a few million dollars a year. I guess it is a human nature, we do not want to pay attention to prevention and then wonder, what the hell happened. I propose that we pay attention to taming the monster by taking in their children and enroll them in schools where they are taught all the subjects including humanities.... education imbued with human values. We must gather signatures and present them to Congress. All those who pledged to Grover Norquist and ATR's "Taxpayer Protection Pledge" must be ousted. They have vowed to honor that same pledge over and above the welfare of America and the American people. They have betrayed their sacred trust as elected officials, and should be removed from office. They have sworn to serve the People, but are actually serving GROVER NORQUIST, and are his puppets. Norquist is wantonly crippling the Government of this country by forbidding tax increases of any sort--even for the top 1%. He has corrupted our Government.

The American people have watch long enough the political games you have played. Under no circumstances will WE allow you to continue to put our lives on hold while you demand more power for the rich on the backs of the poor and middle-class. The problem is...you think you OWNED government, but let us remind you...The People Own the Government and will will no-longer tolerate your constant disrespect of our necessities. A large percentage of Americans agree the rich should pay more in taxes.

Some people wait in line for 9 hours to vote. Some people wait for five minutes. There should be a law stating that, within each state, the proportion of registered voters to voting booths be equal in every precint.
