I am Adonis Flores, a student leader at Wayne State University, and public relations director of my fraternity. I have lived in the United States since I was brought to Detroit by my parents as a child. I've been an active advocate for the DREAM Act, a spokesperson regarding the issues affecting students, and have organized forums on the issue for everyone from students to union members. Recently, I've been active organizing students to support DREAM Relief and voter registration efforts. Secretary of State Ruth Johnson just announced she's denying drivers licenses to young immigrants who have been allowed to stay under a recent action by the Obama Administration. So I'm calling on Ruth Johnson to give drivers licenses to DREAMers, because it's not right to tell us we can work but we can't drive.

Provide the benefits the unemployed need, while the unemployed provide services the government needs.

250 million adults over the age of 18 living in the US, all having the opportunity to donate $3 to the general election campaign on their yearly tax return (x's 4 years, that a lot of money!) simply by ticking the little box on your return. Its paid by the government so your tax return doesn't change.

Our congresspeople are signing pledges to a lobbyiest that swears not to raise taxes under any circumstances, in spite of the fact that we have a ballooning deficit and polls show that most americans agree that we should both cut spending AND raise taxes to combat the deficit. These congresspeople are violating their oath of office and should be impeached!

It is time that we focus on building the infrastructure within our country and not throw away precious resources building more naval ships and ammunition and arms that will kill people! Let us prioritize our resources and do what does the most good for our people - jobs, healthy economy and health for ALL!

I am very concerned about Congress' disregard for the Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. These are systems that I depend upon.
