Missouri, we need legislators that aren't just in it for a few years and don't understand how to work together for the good of our state. We rank near the bottom in many areas and Missourians deserve more.

The most recent senior "prank" was ill-timed, ill-planned and without the supervision of police, extremely dangerous to the Spotswood High School community. This "prank" should be the last of its kind that is condoned by the school administration.

The Oil Industry uses fracturing techniques (fracking) that uses chemicals and various liquids under extremely high pressure to be injected into the ground to cause 'fractures' in the earth in order to get more oil. It is unregulated and proven unsafe. It must be banned in order to protect our homes and communities.

Feminine hygiene products are taxed in many states. Placing a sales tax on feminine hygiene products is not fair or logical. These are not a luxury purchase. If women were unable to purchase these items at the store, they would not have an alternate non-luxury product readily at their disposal. Personally, I would not have any idea how I was supposed to deal with this monthly medical need without purchasing needed hygiene products from the store. I feel this tax is outdated ( @ 100 years outdated ) and is an unfair biased tax placed on only a portion of the population.

The plant utilized by mankind for thousands of years was demonized in a propaganda campaign that has cost society greatly and in many ways for 75 years, despite growing scientific evidence of its healthful benefits. To continue lying to the public by suggesting no medicinal benefit is at the least, morally corrupt. To be arresting patients should be criminal. Please fix this mess with one simple step. Remove from Schedule 1 at the least. End the prohibition and you might still win in November.

I used to work for the Federal Govt. in contracting and I had an experience at the end of the fiscal year when all unspent monies go into what is called fallout money. One year the civil engineers could not find ways it was needed so they paved a road that did not need it and was not scheduled until next year. The civil engineers have what is called a 5 year plan when projects need to be done. The Govt. should call back all monies that have not been used by a certain date and put in the general funds, from each base.

If more student loans are forgiven, there will be more money available in communities for expanding the economy there. This petition is to address the growing global problem of plastic, nonbiodegradable materials seeping into the oceans, waterways, and our landfills where they sit for decades, polluting our environment and affecting wildlife. By eliminating one use plastic bags from fast food chains, corporate retails stores and the like, we can seriously start addressing the issue of the N. Pacific Garbage Patch.

We're sickened to know that our friend, Shawn Whittaker, was assaulted at a local restaurant–and no one is investigating the attacks. A paramedic's report says Shawn was the victim of "assault" at Lost Society. After Shawn spent almost two weeks in a coma, the restaurant has not announced any investigation and won't explain how or why Shawn was attacked. Lost Society has not reached out to the family in helping them put the facts together to solve this unfortunate incident. We demand that Lost Society cease operations until the restaurant cooperates with a full investigation by the D.C. Police Department and D.C. Councilmember Jim Graham's office.
