• Let's finally get the Pentagon surveillance video from 9/11
The Pentagon is one of the most protected and surveilled buildings in the world, yet the only video from 9/11 we have is a blurry image that shows no real evidence of any airplane hitting the building. Where are all the videos?

  • Outlaw PACs Today
I am tired of seeing millions thrown into the election of Govenors, Senators, Congressional Representatives and most importantly our President. If big money continues to fund all of these elections, they might as well own the country. This is not what our founding fathers of this country wanted for us.

  • Help make LAX AIRPORT SMOKE FREE
In california lots companies, state / city owned beaches ,parks, hospitals are smoke free or just have designated areas for smokers that help protect non-smokers from breathing in 2nd hand smoke.I work in LAX airport and been suffering from 2nd hand smoke when working in high traffic areas of airport . All sinage is very poorly made nobody respects the sinage even workers. Im pushing this so I can make a difference for us LAWA/airport employees and travelers that dont smoke. Los angeles cliams theres no money.i belive if they push smoking areas and smokers are found smoking in areas that they're not smoking areas , the city should make a paypal account and charge 20$ for every violation . Keeping smokers from getting workers sick and helping keep LAX from being a better safer work enviroment .

  • Fix Healthcare Insurance: Repeal McCarran-Ferguson
The McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1945, exempts health insurance companies from the Federal anti-trust legislation that applies to other businesses. What does this mean to the rest of us? It means that despite anything else that is said by either politicians or the health care insurance industry, about containing the ever-skyrocketing cost of health care, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. Nothing will change, because this exemption gives the insurance companies the power to fix prices, fix bids for contracts with employers, and restrict markets. Until McCarran-Ferguson is repealed, and there is true competition in the health care insurance industry (whether that is between private companies or includes a public entity) there will be no real reform in our health care cost system. Please join me in demanding the repeal of the McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1945. Thank you.

  • Tell us what is going on with new voter rules
Explanation of changes in new voter laws, and polling places. I made a call to office for such an explanation, and received a confusing explanation. Ms Snipes is usually on point in such matters, and would like her to be more forthcoming.

  • Don't take public transit off the iphone
Apple will be releasing their own map app on their upcoming operating system, and no longer using google maps. Public transit has been removed. They say they're leaving that up to third parties now. Many people can't afford cars, or want to help the environment, and others like me can't drive due to a disability. I've relied heavily on my iphone and google maps access to public transit data. I don't think its right that apple has taken away that functionality with their own map. if you agree sign my petition asking apple to reconsider and include public transit directly in their map app.

  • Stop Bipartisan Drive to Dismantle Social Security
My name is Daniel Marans. I am 24 years old and I specialize in retirement security issues. I have seen my parents’ employers cut back on their retirement benefits, even as the value of their 401(k) and investments has plummeted. I also worry about my peers with student loans who are still struggling to find a job. That is why I realize that Social Security is more critical for young people than ever. We deserve a plan to close Social Security’s modest funding gap that reflects the economic reality we face, rather than just make Social Security solvent for solvency's sake. The Bowles-Simpson plan would pull Social Security apart brick by brick. Its change to the benefit formula would turn Social Security into more of a welfare-style program, undermining the very fairness that has made Social Security so successful and popular. In fact, for some young workers, the Bowles-Simpson plan would cut benefits more than if Congress took no action whatsoever. For me this would mean a cut of $2,000 a year. Assuming that I earn the average wage over a 35-year career, my benefits would be cut more than 13 percent at whatever age I choose to claim benefits. Now, former Senator Alan Simpson, a co-author of the Bowles-Simpson plan, is claiming his plan would help young people – and calling old people who oppose his plan “greedy geezers.” Senator Simpson thinks pitting young against old will distract attention from his plan’s drastic Social Security cuts. But no amount of bullying or bigotry can silence those of us who are concerned about what his plan’s Social Security cuts would do to Americans of all ages. If the Bowles-Simpson plan is so good for young people, Simpson should be able to explain it to us in person, where the public can judge for itself. I am leading a group of 40 Social Security experts under the age of 40 in challenging Senator Simpson to a public discussion of his plan. At first Simpson agreed to a public discussion – but now he’s backing out. What is Simpson so afraid of? Together we can tell Senator Simpson – and any other politician who wants to cut Social Security – that we will not be bullied into silence.

  • Gov. Scott purge of Florida voters list.
What Gov. Scott is doing is despicable. It was the Bush administration and republican party that intimidated the voters in Florida that gave bush the election. We can not let this happen again!
