I am appalled with our mayor.He is cutting so many after school programs and schools.

The governor appoints people to the Borard of Governors for Florida's state universities who are hostile to the colleges. They are trying to irrationally cut university income rather than consider value and needs of the educational system. I believe that It is the president and the faculty who know what is best for the univesity. Someimes more money not less is needed. Skimping can destroy faculty and thus the value of the education itself. Right now I believe that the cost of Florida colleges compared to others in the are country are very inexpensive and good value..

Warren Buffett has the right ideas regarding Congressional benefits and responsibilities - why should they NOT participate equally in the same laws for Social Security, health benefits, pensions, and equality under the law? Why should they be allowed to vote special and better benefits for themselves? The only reason laws can be passed quickly and deficits can be cut is because of consistent, clear public pressure. Demand that Congress change these inequalities OR BE VOTED OUT!

Gas drilling companies require lease holders to sign said agreements which force landowners to agree to silence where drilling errors are made. The penalty for breaking these agreements is a lawsuit initiated against the leaseholder by the gas company.

Congress can not change benefits that people receive but they can change benefits for those not yet receiving them. Congress only can change benefits for new recipints. When a United States citizen works for his retirement it is unlawful for congress to change that civilians life as he has set up his retiring years.

Student loan debt is crushing students like never before and as a result, graduates are unable to afford a decent lifestyle of even just the basics. Given the fact that education is fundamental belief and value in this country as well as the bedrock to the success of the economy, if students are required shoulder the burden of debt, it should at least be an interest free loan.

With 150 addicts visiting a Methadone Clinic every morning between 6:30 & 8:30 when children are walking to school, we are trying to convince the Mayor to find a site in another area. Not in a residential area withing 1/4 mile to an elementary school, a middle school and a high school. Spectrum Health, we've been told, can go anywhere they want, no matter the zoning, because they are an "educational facility" and don't have to abide by the zoning laws the rest of the citizens of Pittsfield have to follow. 8 parking places for a building with 2 apartments and 2 offices would not be allowed for anyone else. Children play all around the designated building and they should not be exposed to this. We need to keep our children and neighbors safe. Please help by signing this petition.

Education has become so expensive that many people are overwhelmed with interest payments alone, not to mention the principle. Students need a bailout - interest free loans. WIPE OUT THE INTERESTS ON ALL STUDENT LOANS
