We need to limit the amount of time people spend as Congress men and Congresswoman and Senater's They seem to lose sight of the reason they are there after 5or more years. Need fresh ideas, to change with the times.

The Supreme Court has opened a Pandora’s Box of foreign and domestic corporate money attempting to disproportionately influence the political discourse in this country. This allows corporate CEOs to bypass the donation limits set on average citizens during election season.

Too many of our television media outlets seem reluctant to share all the news with their viewers. The truths being spun by some networks and ignored by others, create a vacuum that gets filled by propaganda and innuendo instead of facts and reality. We need the truth, especially in a crucial election year. If a candidate is lying, we need to know. If Congress is playing nothing but politics, we also need to know!

Allowing bankruptcy on private student loans again would be a huge boost to the economy. Most of todays students are over their heads in student loan debt. The fact the cost of college has continued to raise at an all time high, while the amount businesses are paying you to work is lower than that of the of the 80's based on growth, is actually turning kids away from college.

The whole world uses the metric system of measurement, except for the US, Burma, and Liberia. The time has come for the America to go metric, too. It would save time and money if we taught only the metric system in our schools. It would also eliminate confusion for our children, in having to learn 2 systems of measurement, when just the metric system would suffice.

With the current immigration laws, when a citizen marries an undocumented immigrant, the citizen must file a petition for residency on behalf of the immigrant. At the point of interviewing with the immigration official it is likely that the immigrant will have a ten year ban from the country placed on them, separating the couple for many years unless the citizen can prove a hardship without the spouse. I am personally capable of taking care of myself and my children alone, and I do not have a debilitating illness, but because I cannot take my children out of the country to live, as their father is American, I am forced to choose between my children or my husband. I married him because I love him, not because I needed him financially, but now I may lose my husband because when people are forced to be apart for years the relationship can die. It would be financially impossible for me to visit more than once a year.

We need to send House GOP packing so that President Obama can do the work that "we, the people" sent him to DC to do. In their goal to make him a one-term president, they have made a bigger mess of an already dysfunctional branch of Congress.
