I think it is about time our senators and other government workers should pay for their own health plan like we the people are supposed to do, and while we are at it, why should they get pensions for life when we have a hard time making do and bringing up a family when they don't even want to raise the min. wage. It's about time the gravy train is over for them.

  • Get these kids therapy.
Kids from Athena School in Rochester, NY made news this week by making a video of their cruelty to Karen Klein, the 68 year old monitor assigned to their school bus. The story appears to be blowing over but it shouldn't. Not without these kids being evaluated by psychiatric professionals to address their profound lack of empathy and to ensure that these kids aren't even more disturbed than the video reveals.

  • Term Limits
Let's consider term limits for all state and federal Spreme Court Justices. It's ridiculous to think that these judges aren't or can't be influenced by partisan politics and big pharma, banks, oil and insurance lobbyists. Appointing them for life is absolutely ludicrous. They should be appointed or re-appointed on their proven level of experience and non-prtisan judgements.

  • NO more pennys, nickles, and perhaps dimes
Why do we continue to use change which has no value. Who wants to carry pennys in their pockets? Lets get rid of pennys and nickles, at least. Would probably save a ton of govt. money, and perhaps make dollar coins more popular?

  • Mishandled funds and taxes and corporations as people
On 9/11, all 4 planes were bound for California. Afterwards, California fabricated special vehicle tags say "We will never forget." The funds were supposed to be used for scholarships for children and spouses of those who died in the tragedy. Seems like California forgot to tell everyone and even denied some who appeared to qualify. Instead, they used the money to plug holes in their budget. If our government tells us they are taxing us or raising funds for a specific purpose, then that money should be used for no other purpose. Social Security is another example. Congress views it as just another tax to be used to satisfy their latest whim. And as far as political contributions, corporations are treated as people. Sorry, a corporation is not a person and being treated as such means they can buy the legislation they want. Now is the time for change.

  • Declaration of Interdependence, 4 July 2012
This is a revised (edited) version of the 1776 Declaration of Independence (http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/) that attempts to show similarities between the abuses of the present rule of corporate Kings to those of the British King George III at the time of American Independence. With the advent of the upcoming 4th of July many crises facing us today (Citizens United, etc.) are the result of overreaching corporate influence within our political process. The timing may make for a powerful statement—we once threw off the shackles of royalty; perhaps we should view events today in the same light.

  • Move-On should increase its numbers
Friends--the critical thing your 7 million can do is, one at a time, person, find an "undecided" voter and change his/her mind. Money has its limits, but there is no limit to what one-to-one can eventually do.

  • Whose spending our money?
All this talk of Obama spending obscures the fact that Congress taxes and Congress spends The President can not tax and he can spend only what is authorized by Congress. So if anyone is taxing and spending it is Congress, not the President!

  • YOUR GRAVY TRAIN IS OVER
Congress is non functioning with an approval rating of 8%. The republicans have openly stated they will do everything in their power to make President Oboma a one term president. They scream follow the constituition but dol just the opposite. President Oboma has spent too much time kissing thier butts only to have the republicans OPENLY degrade and insult him and his family. It is time for the congress to work for WE THE PEOPL;E and stop becomming millionaires thanks to those who reward them financially for NOT DOING THEIR JOBS.
