My petition is to heighten the awareness of the problems of Water privatization and the need to act stop and or prevent it before whole communities are being displace as is happening in other parts of the world. It is important to sign this petition because most Americans cannot afford to buy their water from large corporations. In other parts of the world whole communities have been deprived of their own natural water resource, being told that privatization of water is a cleaner, more efficient method of delivery. Unfortunately, this is often not the case, while the Corporations co-opt their water resources.

Please show your support in favor of full-day Kindergarten in the Three Village Central School District. Send a message to the Board of Education that cutting full-day Kindergarten to half-day is NOT an acceptable budget cutting option.

The President says he is using drone warfare to save American lives. He is actually making the country less safe. Our government is using our tax money to kill people by remote control. The government says everyone we kill with drone warfare is an enemy combatant but we are actually killing innocent men, women, and children too. These actions are breeding hate for our country and creating terrorists. As our elected officials debate how much to cut social spending in this country our government is wasting half of discretionary spending on illegal warfare that is ruining our reputation and putting our lives in jeopardy the world over.

Four health behaviors - tobacco use, alcohol use, unhealthy eating and lack of physical activity - contribute to the majority of all chronic diseases such as diabetes, emphysema, high blood pressure and joint pain. Physicians can help their patients by talking with them at every visit about how to improve their health by quitting smoking, eliminating high risk alcohol consumption, eating healthier foods and being more physically active. The AMA is asking physicians to declare their public support for counseling every patient to prevent chronic diseases and improve health outcomes.

This petition is about Verizon and all of the other cable industries shaking hands. We the people need to stand up and tell these corporations and the state politicians who sign these "agreements" that they have to honor them!

Since Congress won't tax the rich for their fair share, I propose that we, the 99%, do not pay any more than the rich do. No more "middle class pays 25%". No, now we pay only 12 or 13%, like the really rich folks do. If the country needs more money, the rate will be raised evenly for ALL Americans. The rich shouldn't enjoy the fruits of the 99%'s tax dollars.

401K's are Volatile and Do Not Gaurantee Retirement Security for the Private Sector. The Public Sector typically have this Security from Pension Plans. We read all the time about individuals who retired and their 401K Plans had been significantly Depleted due to Economic conditions, which 401K's are based on. Corporate America has and will continue to Eliminate Pension Plans because they cannot tolerate having Funds that they cannot use.

Regarding any budget that passes this year, please include a tax on high income earners to fund essential services and deliver working families some relief.

People involved in education KNOW the horrendous condition that the DOE is in now compliments of Mayor Bloomberg! It is imperative that we vote in a new mayor in our next election who will be able to repair the damage that has been done by Bloomberg and his cronies. Christine Quinn will be WORSE than Bloomberg! A Cayman islands-based company could invest in US companies and then move their profits offshore.Or is Romney trying to avoid paying a specific tax on investments made by his individual retirement account (IRA) Lets tell Romney to put his money in US banks.

This proposed amendment would establish a new constitutional right of employees to organize and bargain collectively with employees, by adding Section 28 to Article I of the State Constitution and by amending Article XI, Section 5 of the State Constitution. The full text of the proposed amendmant is on the back of this petition, together with existing constitutional provision that would be altered or abrogated is adopted.
