Increase Medicare reimbursement to Physicians and hospitalsWe need to make congress aware of the dire straits our physicians are in. They are all going away and there are no primary care drs to take their place. Nurse Practitioners onlyhave independent clinics in seven states. In all other states they must work for /or with Physicians .Blue Cross and all other private insurance companies are matching the low rates forcing extreme stress in hospitals and Dr practices. Congress needs to get off their luxurious medical Insurance and retirement packages, ( at the expense of the american people) and be on Medicare like the rest of us!106 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Rose Potter

Make Nick Santino's death end Pit Bull bans!Soap actor Nick Santino took his own life after he succumbed to pressure from the management of his condo to euthanize his beloved and healthy pit bull mix, Rocco. Neighbors allege that Nick was harassed and ultimately "forced" by Ogden CAP Properties to kill Rocco for the sole reason that Rocco was part pit bull. Pit bulls are known as the clowns of the dog world and are not by nature aggressive. The greater tragedy is that Ogden CAP Properties still enforces breed-specific bans and restrictions at Nick Santino's and multiple other properties.Tell Ogden CAP Properties to base its policies on observed, verified behavior, not breed!16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer M Rellick

Thank SD legislators for standing with working families. After over 500 South Dakotans signed our petition opposing HB 1261—which would have taken away collective bargaining rights for hard-working public workers—the South Dakota House Commerce and Energy Committee voted 13-0 to table the bill. The committee heard you loud and clear that using firefighters, police officers, and teachers as scapegoats to make a political point isn't right for South Dakota. Now, I'm launching a new SignOn petition, thanking committee members who stood with working families. Will you add your name?310 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Mark Anderson, South Dakota State Federation of Labor

Stop the Wasteful Destruction of Forests and Habitats by San Francisco Natural Areas Program (NAP)The "Natural Areas Program" controls 1/4 of San Francisco city parkland and is destroying 18,500 trees and wildlife habitat, closing 10 miles of trails, and increasing toxic herbicide in an attempt to "restore" the dune plants which were here in 1776. San Francisco Forest Alliance at http://sfforest.net is a new organization trying to stop the expansion of this unnatural and unsustainable program. The program diverts $1.6 million a year from park operating funds and millions in park bonds and state grants while SF Rec & Park is cutting basic park programs, increasing park fees, and asking for more bond funding. The NAP DEIR can be found at: http://sfmea.sfplanning.org/2005.0912E_DEIR.pdf One of the significant comments to the DEIR can be found at: http://milliontrees.wordpress.com/2011/10/10/professor-arthur-shapiros-comment-on-the-environmental-impact-report-for-the-natural-areas-program/ San Francisco Forest Alliance Preserving Public Parks For The Public SFForest.Net2,376 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by SF Forest

Identity Theft ProtectionIdentity theft is a growing problem for our society. However, in many cases there are no sound provisions in place to protect consumers. Having been victim of Identity theft and being accused of crimes as a result of the identity theft, all of which could have been prevented if the location had a camera or any other measure to identify the thief. This is the thing that sticks out most is that in Georgia check cashing locations are not REQUIRED TO VIDEO OR PHOTOGRAPH individuals making the transaction. Not having these measures in place allows criminals to steal checks and cash them, duplicate an individuals ID card or Driver License and use them, make fraudulent wire transactions and much more and all the while these criminals are going undetected. In the meantime causing many problems in the victims lives financially and many cases criminal with felonious charges because some locations do not have cameras or any other measure to identify individual in questionable transactions.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Glenn Drane
